Spend the extra money on a quality tool like this one. Don't waste your time with cheap Chinese pot metal ones at half the price.

Better in limited spaces than a hammer and pickle fork.
Purchased for future use on ball joints of vehicles I will be working on this summer at home. Purchased for using in limited space where swinging a hammer past a fender at a pickle fork is not feasible. Although I have not tried it yet the SPC 4-way looks strong and versatile and a useful addition to my toolbox. I look forward to using it.

Great price for the versatility/quality!!!
Quality construction, reasonable pricing, high strength pressure screw, and the hinge pin is easy to remove by hand w/o falling apart by itself (pin has a spring loaded de-tent retainer ball). With the 4 way position adaptability, this is the most versatile Ball Joint separator I have seen. 2017 Tacoma Sport upper ball joints didn't stand a chance!
