GREAT EAP TUTORIAL
"Program Favorites" by Linda Myers is a compilation of exercises and tutorials for therapists and others in the field of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. As a therapist myself in a more traditional setting and a horse owner and enthusiast, I found the book a useful manual for beginning a practice in equine assisted therapy. Personally I know the therapeutic value of horses with humans but I did not know how to begin to structure a practice utilizing horses to benefit people. This book gives the rationale and hoped for benefits specifically designed to elicit personal and interpersonal growth using the exercises and techniques spelled out in an easy to understand format. I highly recommend this book to anyone thinking of going into EAP, for those already working in this field and for helpers, counselors and therapists in alternative practices to understand the value of EAP and either implement such exercises in their practice or make an informed referral to an EAP program. Really useful book with lots of handy programmes. The staff at our therapy centre has used it a lot for ideas and activities to do with clients - definitely a recommended resource!

YOU WONT REGRET!
So this book of yours...I couldn’t have made a better purchase! This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! I have been looking hard to find some place with a put together stream of activities to help with program development, and this fits the bills so perfectly. When you get your book finished on the leadership program, I am going to be one of your first buyers! I appreciate all of the hard work you’ve put into this work of art!

Linda Myers is a highly regarded professional and I appreciate her efforts to help professionals.
Linda Myers did a fantastic job of providing Equine- Assisted Activities for every professional. Very well written, like the photos and the processing points. The information she provides based on her experience was insightful and very helpful. The six week group curriculum is excellent and I like that the exercises can be modified. Very well written and easy to follow.

In drug rehab, this is excellent!
I myself learned a lot about drug addiction from this book. I even showed it to some ladies in rehab who were in a “Power Tools For Living” class and it resonated with them. Very practical/insightful book, thanks for writing it!
