BM mushrooms Shiitake Mushroom Spawn 400 gm (Lentinula edodes)

Item arrived contaminated with black mold. It's because of how they pack it. It's just a plastic bag tied with rubber bands in a cardboard box. Why would you not put the bag with the spawn in an airtight sealed bag? There was mold growing all over the opening of the bag.

Wanted to check the quality of the spwan. So just took some 20 grains and inoculated in 250 grams of saw dust packing mixed with wheatbran and gypsum. It is the 4 day and the mycelium is growing vigorously. No special incubation. Again just kept it on my book rack.The shittaki spwan is doing well however the other mushroom spwan I bought from the same seller along with this is not colonizing well infact I saw some Trichoderma contamination.Remark: The spwan quality likely depends with batches. I was lucky to get this one healthy and neat.
