Collector's item
This was a great doll for a dancer. It was for an aspiring ballerina. Little girls love Barbie. It was a hit.

Very dissppointed
Was bought for a gift for my great niece. Was mailed in a manilla envelope and the box was severly damaged. Not a way to mail a collectible item and the price I paid expected it to come like new not damaged.

2000 Flower Ballerina Barbie Doll from The Nutcracker from Dani's Dolls
Although I didn't see the doll since it was shipped straight to my granddaughter, she LOVES it and her mother said that Sadie has her Ballerina Barbie on her "Special" shelf.

could someone explain to me how to put the stand together?
the doll is beautiful but i literally cannot put the stand together. it just doesn't seem like the plastic will fit into the stand.

A beautiful doll, perhaps best from a distance
I bought this for my 6-year-old, and I think I would recommend that as the youngest age for this doll, as she is as fragile as she is beautiful. We all loved the layered-crinoline costume, the rooted eyelashes, the cascading ringlets, and the legs/feet in correct ballet position, but even with careful play the crinoline eventually shreds a bit, and the feet break off very easily and cannot be repaired.Even with no feet (!) this doll is still one of my daughters' favorites.

Pretty Flower Ballerina
She is pretty indeed. Don't take her out of the box if you want her to stay that way. Once out of the box, the glitter on her ballet costume starts falling off. And awwww, the hair. It looks so flat from the back. This is probably due to the hair gel used and because her head has been stuck on the cardboard liner for soooo long. Her costume does look pretty though. The 3 roses are so nice. And the doll body is cool too. You can actually put her arms and legs in ballet positions.
