How long does it usually last

The lube itself doesn't deteriorate. Keep it in the dark and the bottle won't either. I do three drops down the compression cylinder every 500 shots in my ancient leather washer Diana 45 and after 40 years' shooting, I'm still wondering if its performance is ever going to diminish enough to merit overhaul. On a spring gun, let it sit muzzle up a few minutes before working the piston up and down five or six times. Then stand the gun on its muzzle for an hour. Your next two or three shots will always smell of ignited oil, but that will pass. By your tenth round,my our velocities will settle into the normal range. A bottle will last you a very long time, even if you're shooting silhouette.

is this only for the co2 or can it be used to lubricate the whole pistol?

Its best to use on the tip of the new CO2 cartridge only. Use regular gun oil to wipe off and protect finish of exterior. Never put gun oil on the CO2 cartridge.

I already inserted a co2 cylinder before i read to applying 1 drop of rws chamber lube to it,what should i do,i have never owned a air pistol before?

The first CO2 is not a problem. The best practice is to put a drop on each CO2 after the first one. Also, don't store the gun with a CO2 cartridge in it. Once you are through shooting for the day, take it out and "dump" the remaining CO2 in that cartridge. Leaving the CO2 in will cause the seal to fail prematurely. Some seals are not repairable.

What is the difference between this product and the RWS spring cylinder oil?

Chamber lube is 100% silicone oil and Spring Cylinder Oil is mineral based. Chamber lube is made for lubricating compression areas and seals, Spring cylinder oil is for metal on metal parts with no compression.
