Works on hard surfaces only. They do get bored of it after seeing it for a day, but then we hide it for a day or two and when we pull it back out the cats are into it again.It only moves when it gets bopped from above, and the activation isn't very sensitive. It shoots forward about seven feet, does a little 180° turn and squeaks, then stops until knocked again.I wish there were a setting that kept it moving for a few minutes, because the cats want to stalk it before pouncing, and sometimes lose interest because it stops so soon. It does go through the battery somewhat quickly, so plan to buy some extras if your cat likes it.Not very sophisticated, but it's a nice hands-off option to offer the cats when I'm too tired/busy to play with them with a wand toy.

Hally, my Bombay, a rescue found near death and nursed back to health as a kitten, has always had a guilty pleasure with my AirPods and the case itself. NOPE! So when ordering her litter for this month, I decided to purchase this robotic mouse. It’s the best. It’s chirps, despite other reviews, and keeps my cat entertained all day. She carried it around with her like her prized catch. I had not seen her much today (she was off playing in other parts of the house with her mouse- no pun intended) and forgot about ordering it for her- so when she came to bed tonight and had it with her, I nearly jumped out of my skin. Bottom line, buy this to thrill & entertain your cat, cause one day it’ll give you a thrill too!

The mousie was pretty new still in this video, now both kitties love to play with it.We were fortunate to have all-tile floors and no carpet, so the mousie works perfectly on them.They learned to make the mousie go by pulling on its tail, as well as giving it a good bat with the paw. We so enjoy their antics! What a great toy to satisfy our kitties' natural instincts. I would recommend this toy highly, (as long as they didn't use it on carpet).

When this arrived my cat lost her mind over it. She could Chase it around the house she could pick it up by the tail she gets laying it around and she loved it. In about A-day and a 1/2 the battery seems to stop working and there was no sounds coming out of it like a mouse that never worked. I'm going to go to the store and get a new battery and see if it will work again Because she really did love it. I was disappointed that it has never made noises like it's supposed to but if I can make it run again I'll keep it And maybe buy some more for cats in shelters. If it doesn't start working again I'm gonna return it.UPDATE!!!! I bought a new battery and it was back to running! Still no sounds HOWEVER, I just purchased 3 more! Tried all to make sure they worked and they did! Great toy for a lonely little cat! Your cats need one of these.

Kitty LOVES this toy . He catches it . Beats holy crap out it . then walks around with it hanging from his mouth by the tail . Haven't heard any mouse sounds from it yet (doesn't seem like I will either) but can say this toy is tough . I'm 5'10" 210# and I have stepped on it twice . No damage . Now if they can just figure a way to keep cat hair from wrapping around the axle ........
