I've purchased this claw before and the spring gave out after a couple of months. I was using it in the shower so it only had to hold my hair for a short period of time. It finally broke into two pieces so I ordered another one. The spring on this new one gave out the first time I used it. I love the size of this as my hair is really thick but it's not worth the money for me...and the search goes on!

These clips used to sell at Walmart for HALF this price. They're the only thing I've found that holds my hair. They DO break with use, just plastic. Lately they've been black brown not jet black like in the past. They need to improve durability and reduce price IMHO.

I love this clip. I’ve always had a problem finding these claw hair clips that would fit all my hair. So when I got this one I was SO excited! It fit perfectly. But within a week the spring wasn’t as tight or something. I don’t know if the sling was the issue or where it was held at but it isn’t working as well now that makes me sad.

Don't understand why Goodie stopped selling these in stores. Forced to buy them on Amazon.They are only jaw clip that holds thick long hair They do lose strenght after a month of wearing. Teeth break.

I bought this clip about 6 years ago and have used it several times weekly since. I have very long hair and twist it up and like just the 1 clip to keep it up. This is the ONLY clip I have EVER used that actually holds the hair in place, does not slip ( and I mean AT ALL as it has rubber grips on all tines) is easy to use and looks great. I have been searching for a replacement ( after 5 years it has a small crack near the spring but still works like a charm) I have a sister with long really thick hair and she loves it to. I have ordered 5 other large clips on line hoping to get another good one and none of them hold a candle to this one. I am so happy that I finally found the actual clip that I have been searching for. PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE THIS CLIP!!! I am a lifelong customer and am ordering 3 more right now! thanks for a quality product - I can't praise this clip enough!

This is definitely a wide diameter clip, probably a good inch diameter circle, about 3.5 inch length, so it is a very large clip. It's very plain, smooth, and black.My main complaint is that it still tends to slip out of my hair despite the grippies inside the claws. The grip is just a tiny bit loose. So I have to fiddle with it to get it just right. Once it's in right it sits fine but it's not a super quick fix.It's definitely not my favorite large claw clip but it wins for being the largest in length. But the problem is that the claws are very circular, so it forms more of a circle than an open claw, so if your wad of hair is more than an inch diameter, it won't properly grip your hair and yanks your hairs as it slides out. It gets more annoying each day.I have thick curly hair down to the shoulder length so I'm pinning up a substantial amount of unruly hair.Probably wouldn't purchase a second time.

The only clip that can handle my hair! I was so sad when I could no longer find these clips by Goody! I can't believe I found them on Amazon. I stocked up for the next 15 years! I have 3 feet of thick hair & nothing holds it like this clip! I get about a year from each one. Seriously if you have thick hair buy this clip, you won't regret it I promise!!

These are great for someone with thick hair. I also really like how they don't dig into your head like some clips.
