Vehicle of Spirit

I was recently introduced to Nightwish and was happy to find this DVD/CD set (3 DVDs and 2 CDs). I've seen clips of these concerts on YouTube and wanted to experience a high-quality recording on my sound system. Started with the Tempere show (Disc 2), which was excellent. I then put the Wembley show in (Disc 1) and only half would play. About halfway through the 9th track (7 Days to the Wolves), my player stopped playing the concert. I could not skip to the next track or play any of the songs after. The other discs seem to work fine. I suppose I should return it and try again, but I'd rather just get the first disc replaced, if possible. If all discs worked, I'd give this 5 stars without hesitation.UPDATE: I exchanged the discs for a new set and experienced the exact same problem. Discs 2 & 3 and the two audio CDs work perfectly fine, but Disc 1 (Wembley Show) will only play a few songs before it freezes up. I tried it on my Bluray player, older DVD player, and desktop computer and got the same results every time. Must be a bad batch. I will be keeping these because the entire Wembley Show is captured on the two audio CDs. Although I cannot see the entire Wembley performance, at least I can hear it.

Nightwish puts on an excellent show! The Blu-ray concerts are awesome! Their brand of symphonic metal is very strong, and Floor Jansen sings her heart out on every song! the band is really tight, and they look like they are having a great time on the stage at (sold out) Wembley and Tampere. I highly recommend this concert package to all Nightwish fans. Floor is, in my opinion, more than capable of singing any song from the whole Nightwish set list, of any era, and she proves it here. I purchased the Blu-ray package...it comes with 2 Blu ray disks, and 2 audio CDs.

It has been a long time since I have been in awe of a band that can create, preform such unbelievable music. I first came across a live video on Nightwish on YouTube doing Ghost Love Score and was completely blown away of the mixture of classical symphonic, metal, operatic all blended together with the powerful angelic voice of Floor Jansen. It is hard to believe that I have not heard of this band until a few weeks ago. I wish they had more exposure here in the USA.

I love both these albums from an awesome band named Nightwish. This set has two shows on Blu Ray discs and two CDs with beautiful music combining classical with metal. the shows are at Wembley Arena, London and Ratina Stadion, Tampere. Floor Jansen sings lead with her beautiful operatic soprano voice. Also featured is Marco Hietala on bass who also performs vocals with his very powerful voice. Each member of this band is exceptionally talented musicians that make this band one of the best in the world. I can't get enough of this band, and I can listen to Nightwish all night long.

This band is phenomenal. Just came across their music on youtube and had to have it. Bands like this need more exposure in the U.S. I believe they would get a large following. Why in the heck we don't generate great music like this lately in the states, is beyond me. In retrospect, it's not that surprising, considering most of my favorite rock bands are from Europe, and now Finland/Netherlands. Whether or not they have stops in the U.S. on their next tour, will not matter, because I will go wherever to see them in concert. That's how much this band impressed me, along with Floor Jansen's beautiful and strong vocals.

Recorded at London's Wembley Arena as part of their huge 2016 world tour. Great sound quality and music. The band is very tight and Floor's voice is spectacular. I own the studio album, much of which is performed on this tour (Endless Forms Most Beautiful) and the live recording is every bit as good. I didn't know this came with DVDs, and haven't watched them yet, but suspect they will be awesome as well. Recommended!

Didn't buy this when it came out. Already had most of the songs, and live shows are very rarely better than studio versions. This is especially true for bands with the dynamic range of Nightwish. I was as wrong as I could be, and the set is probably the strongest live set I've ever owned. While you may appreciate the new vocalist, Floor Jensen, it isn't truly possible without seeing her in action. The entire band seems to have a natural grace to it that has to be seen to be believed. Well worth it, even if you already have all the songs from the studio albums.

Absolutely awesome this band pulls out all the stops,they have been in my music collection for many years and I hope they are around for many more.This combo[3dvds and 2cds] are a great value and entry point for someone new to this band ,they have only gotten better and more polished as the years go by, reward yourself and give this band a listen if your new to the band ,if you know the band enjoy.

I am a great Nightwish fan and have a number of their albums & the BluRay fancy box of the two concerts at Wembley and Tampere. I didn't mind buying the BluRays again providing the CD's had ALL the tracks from both concerts but there are 17 tracks on each of the concert Blurays and only 17 tracks between the two CD's. I am now sending this item back as I particularly wanted Sleeping Sun sung by Floor Jansen and The Islander. It seems impossible to find a CD with Floor singing Sleeping Sun which is nuts, I have Tarje singing it on End Of An Era but really wanted an up to date version sung by Floor Jansen. Just amazing. The bonus gig at Tampere is a real bonus. Love this band. Floor has made this excellent band brilliant. Both gigs are a delight for both sight and sound. Saw them with 3 different singers over the years and they have matured and developed into pure magic. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Absolutely brilliant, I am 55 and love Nightwish, especially Floor as their lead singer, pretty much have most of their music now, a friend of mine in his late 60's asked to borrow something different music wise from my cd collection, I lent him some Nightwish now he is hooked.

Another excellent album from this band absolutely superb

A good and expensive collection of 2 concerts on blu ray or dvd plus 2 music live cds and tour photos plus extras extras disc done in a had back book style.
