Great for Winged Simulation. Do not use for Multirotor training.
This is an excellent flight simulator for winged aircraft. There is some jitter in the graphics which improved with the last update. I'm being very patient with the developers as this is essentially a rewrite and I would consider it a version 1.1 at this time. The physics seem realistic and it's a lot of fun. Be sure to use your own controller an not the transmitter Hobbico wants you to buy. It's very important for you to learn on your field transmitter and the 22 in 1 adapter from China will work just fine with RF-X.I have deducted 1 star due to the very poor simulation of multirotor aircraft. It is clear that the designers have little or no experience with racing quadcopters. Do NOT try to learn quadcopters using this simulator. For example, it will teach you to punch the throttle 100% to get through a gate that's a few feet above your current altitude. If you do this in real life, you will either hit the top of the gate at 70 mph or reach an altitude of 200ft with a one second burst. The camera platform simulation is not much better.Overall, I look forward to many improvement updates in the future and I may even start to fly some real planes using what I've learned.

Great looking, but not good in the implementation
Graphics work fine for me (even at 4K). Of course I do have 2x GTX 1080s (SLI and water cooled), with a monster processor and 64GB 3000 Mhz RAM. But aside from that, the reason why I only give it 3 stars is that there is not content converter from previous Realflight versions. I have about $500 invested in all of the expansion packs and software... not to mention that models of all of the planes I own are in the old format... not to mention I've spent a lot of time making photo fields of the flying fields I fly at in real life. To not be able to use any of it, not have any options to do so, and all content creation workflows have changed is bonkers!Their answer? Just have both installed? What's the point of that? Bottom line is that yes... it's lucious... yes, it looks great. Yes, it is hard on your computer. But I would wait until there is more content, and a way to transfer the old content in before buying it.On this case, the "X" is symbolic for "wrong answer."

Greatest RC Flight Simulator ever. I have flown on many other generations of Real Flight, this one is truly the best. Make sure you have a gaming level computer with high output or you will not be able to fully enjoy all this simulator has to offer. Just make sure you meet the optimal computer settings and you will not be disappointed!

It might be a good product, don't know. Can't use it on any of my computers. Seems that you need to have a super powered high performance computer to use it. I didn't know that. I am still using the 6.5 version I bought a few years ago. I like that one.

I have tried to dumb down the graphics
Requires way too much computing power. My computer is relatively new and runs RF 7.5 perfectly. RF-X is jerky and not pleasant to run. I have tried to dumb down the graphics, but it's still bad. Plus RF-X is missing functionality that is in RF 7.5. As far as I can tell you get nothing better by going to RF-X. I went back to RealFlight 7.5. I'll try to sell RF-X on Ebay.
