Q: Are these comfortable for standing/walking all day? Are they reliable as in won't need to replace in a year or less

yes,they are very comfortable.I work in golf course,almost walk all day.I bought them last summer,now wearing them every day,so far I haven't met any quality issues.

Q: Are these considered "ankle high" boots? Trying to find something for my academy since they require ankle high boots.

They’re about 6 inches from the heel which should cover your ankle. I’m not sure what height requirement you’re looking for, but they do cover the ankle.

Q: Are these men's hiking boots solid? how is the quality?

They are extremely solid and well made. I am very tough on my footwear and these are holding up to the hardest conditions i can put them through
