A must read for anyone with teens looking to start a conversation and share the message that each choice they make can have devastating effects. My heart ached as I read each page, but I could not put it down.

Hard story to read but
A great lesson to teach our kids. One decision can change a life—a family’s life—forever. It took so much bravery to write this book. Losing one child is horrible but to lose two is unbearable. Yet Becky has picked up the pieces and made something beautiful from darkness. Handing it out to other parents to read as well.

Thank you for sharing the gift of your boys. Many memories that I could relate to while having my own boys growing up with sports, lake life and big birthday/holiday celebrations. I feel like I know them. The book was filled with so many details and emotions. Tears of course, but such a tender mom touch in your descriptions of each unique personality. Thank you for continuing to warn others of how one choice has a ripple effect. You have turned a tragedy into a legacy to help others. The end section is an informative guide for teens and parents. Well done. A must read for all parents. It can happen to anyone without having the conversation.

Must read
This is a local story that gutted me when I heard it on the news. Reading the story now, years after the tragedy, makes it all too real and relatable. Becky could have been describing my own family: hockey, lake house, themed parties and all-American kids. I will use this book as a tool to teach my own kids that no matter how great of a kid they are, and how present of a parent you are, one choice can change everything. I will recommend this book to all my friends to read with their children as well.

This topic hits very close to home, this book is a definite must read for all teenagers, parents…actually anyone. My love to the author and her family.
