509 Aviator 2.0 Ignite S1 Snow Goggle

Fitment for the goggle is perfect with the 509 helmet, and the heated lens and ventilation fan is perfect for my wife who has always had trouble fogging up and freezing up. Also the 509 app pairs up nicely so you can manage goggles from your phone and that is perfect way to make adjustments for fan speeds

I recently purchased these goggles and while I am satisfied with the fit, there is certainly room for improvement. One issue I had was with the instructions, which lacked detail and were not particularly helpful. Additionally, while the goggles worked well in the field and removed most of the fog, the battery was big and bulky and did not last very long. I noticed that their newer goggles have a more sleek and efficient battery design, which I think would be a big improvement.To address the longevity issue, I have ordered a longer cord and an aftermarket battery, which I am hoping will improve the battery life of the goggles. As for the optics, I appreciate the clarity of the lenses and the pleasing color. So far, I have not encountered any scratches, which is a positive sign. Overall, while there are certainly some areas that could be improved, I am generally satisfied with my purchase and look forward to seeing how the aftermarket battery and longer cord perform.

First pair quit working after third ride. They were great when they worked. Awesome customer support sent me another pair, although it took over a month of back and forth with them. Upon arrival of second pair, plugged them in and they immediately started smoking and glowing red in the microchip area in the goggle frame and the cord got really hot. One star for now until they can get them figured out. Extremely disappointed for having spent over $500 for these goggles and spare lens and battery.

Great product when it works. The fan stopped working in manual mode after about thirty minutes of riding the first time out in heavy snow and low visibility at 30 degrees F. Next time out after a full charge a week later the fan wouldn't work in manual mode but it did work in auto mode for about 2 hours in flat lighting at -15 degrees F. I ride with the goggles over my glasses ands have struggled with various setups and I thought this be quality solution I was hoping it could be but I'm out $300 plus for another "gimmick" system that doesn't work. I should go back to buying snake oil. UPDATE: after 3 months of dealing with 509 customer service, I got sent a new pair of googles and returned the bad ones to them. They appeared to work out of the box but now that winter is almost over (4-6-2023), I will only get limited chances to test the googles out.

Works well to keep the fog down, but the battery doesn’t last all day. I can’t see where you can get another battery for this newer version.

I used the previous ignit goggles, but this time it's wonderful. And thank you for mailing it to Japan. It looks like snowmobiles will be more fun in the future.
