and is easily visible from inside
There are very few choices for these super-tall thermometers, so I took a chance on this one. It was just what I wanted, fitted on a 4x4 support post on our screened porch, and is easily visible from inside. Comes with mounting hardware to either mount on a wall or stick in the ground. Numbers are huge and super easy to read. The temperature is only visible at particular viewing angles, but when it is visible is clear as day. Love it!

Best thermometer for a deck railing
I attached this thermometer to an upright post in the railing around my deck. It is opposite the slider and is large enough to read from inside the house. It is the same dimension as the standard column cover over a 4 x 4 in the railing system.

Out door tube therm
We really like this thermometer It is easy to read and looks really nice. That last part makes the wife even happyer.
