You get what you pay for
These are the best stands out there and yes they cost more than most but its’s worth spending the money on something that is going to last and last. They are also nice and heavy so they won’t tip over even with heavy mics.I have a trunk full of K&M stands

Excellent Stand!
I’m extremely impressed with the quality and functionality of this stand! Well worth the price. And got it in grey, which looks chic and stands out from other equipment, so easy to keep track of.

Buy Once, Cry Once, Move On
I know you are looking at cheaper mic stands. You are trying to figure out if it's really worth 100 bucks. Yes. It is. It's the industry standard and it is that for a reason. It just works. I bought a 30 dollar one too thinking I'd save money and got something that felt like a kid's toy and wouldn't even hold up my mic. Compared to that the K&M is a Toyota Tundra and that thing was a Power Wheels kids truck. I have an older one from 2015 and while it's a little banged up and it still functions perfectly. You can also get parts for this and have a 5 year warranty to get them free. Get this stand. Buy once, cry once, and move on with the thing that works instead of wasting your time on cheap chinese garbage.

No a cheap mic stand, you'll own this for decades
I have used K&M stands for a long time, they always perform as needed in studio or on live stage environments. I often put large condenser mics on these, they hold the heavier mics up over drum sets and choirs without fail. I have used some less expensive stands in non-critical or less demanding environments when necessary, but when I'm doing something in a demanding spot with an high-dollar condenser I reach for one of these K&M models. I'm not putting a Neumann M149 up at maximum height on a $29.99 mic stand!

A quality product!
This K&M microphone stand is extremely well made and durable. Don’t waste your money on an inexpensive plastic mic stand as they will not last. Don’t be afraid to buy quality products - you won’t be disappointed in your purchase.

Worth the money
I purchased this as I was sick of my other mic. stands falling apart and not performing when I needed them. There always seemed to be a problem, although little ones and my old stands were not very stable. This stand weighs more than double, probably triple than the cheaper stands and the hardware and the workmanship is far superior. I have only used it once, but I was very pleased.

Extremely Sturdy!
The only reason I gave the stand 4 stars instead of 5 stars was it was heavier than I expected. I saw it was made of heavier gauge steel to make it more durable but the weight was a little more than I expected. I gig with it every weekend so I'll see if it lasts the 5 years it's guaranteed for. My lighter ones never lasted more than a year or two before had to fix and swamp out parts to keep using them.

Excellent workmanship!
I had a mix of other mic stands over the years. I recently had to replace one of the other brands due to wear out. My older K&M stands look and function the same as my most recent purchase!

A saga only for the strong minded!
I have deducted a star- please read to the end.I had to wait several weeks for this which was okay as it was noted in the description. When it arrived the Amazon box had opened at the end and the stand had become damaged during transit so the delivery driver said it had to be returned. So I was given a refund and ordered it again. After several weeks it arrived and again the end of the box had opened during transit and also the end of the manufacturer’s box had opened, leaving the stand to drop out of the packaging all together. I inspected the item and thankfully it was not damaged. In summary: An excellent mic stand that will last a very, very long time. In another league from the cheaper stands that struggle to hold a mic’s weight on an extended arm. The Amazon packaging is poorly done. Requires more tape on the end of the box please Amazon. Don’t order if you find disappointment difficult to deal with. If you can handle disappointment then this will probably be one of the most pleasing items you will ever purchase.

Not just another boring microphone stand.
Definitely one of the best microphone stands that I own. Everything does what it should reliably, it is weighty and feels as if it won't break easily, the stability is excellent. I bought the chrome version to provide a bit of bling if using retro mics and being convertible means that it has many uses. All this at a reasonable price.

I don’t like manufacturers that use plastic for vital components.
I purchased a K&M product with the assumption that I was buying top quality. This isn’t the case. My previous mic stand broke bacause the threaded locking sleeve that locks the telescopic sections cracked because it was made of plastic and not suitable for regular gigging. I was expecting a K&M product to have all metal parts but in fact the locking sleeve is also plastic, therefore I do not have confidence in it. Hopefully over the course of time I will be prove wrong and it will be up to the job.
