Strong Flames, works great. Soak in Olive Oil
The media could not be loaded. My youngest daughter received a Sand Candle craft kit as a gift (I think purchased from Michaels), and we had a blast creating the candles. However, the included wax corded wicks wouldn't stay lit for more than a minute or two. Ordered these wooden wicks Homepal Wood Wicks for Candle Making with Paraffin or Soy Wax, DIY 5.9 Inch (15cm) Length, 50 Pieces , and reworked the sand candles, jiggling a doubled-up set down to the bottom attached to the metal bracket. Prepare a workspace, as it's gonna get messy. We laid them in a baking pan with a bit of olive oil and brushed them. Flipped a couple of times and repeated. Soaked for about 10 minutes before utilizing them. They lit hesitantly and burned ok for about one-half hour that first night. The second and subsequent nights they have burned exceptionally well, to the point that I need to really keep on top of the wick length, or the flames will grow too high. My supposition is that the olive oil had a chance to saturate the wood by the 2nd night.Pleased to have recovered a craft and looking forward to making more (with wooden wicks ;))

Good wick to use
The wicks were delivered when they were promised which is priority for me. They burn and melt wax which is their primary function. I used beeswax and that's maybe why they didn't perform like I thought wood wicks should. They burn very low so there is little ambiance to the candle made with these. Like I said, that might be the beeswax I used instead of the soy or paraffin which are much softer waxes.

didnt work for my Soy candles
I don't want to give false reviews but to me it didn't work out. May be I tried using wrong way but it didn't come with any instructions and the comments I read before buying said that it either needs to be soaked in olive oil or wax before using. i did both but still I found that when I lit my candle it smolders only and also brings brown color all over the wax surface.I wont say its a bad product or not good at all. But if this is not how one can use then how is this suppose to be used. The reviews and comments said nothing else.

They're okay
Delivered in a timely fashion but I noticed lots of soot on my candles while burning not sure if I need a smaller wick is the reason, love the crackling sound.

Waste of money, don't hold a flame.
The media could not be loaded. These wicks are the biggest waste of money. I wish I could leave no stars. I bought them last year, and I just got done making 15 candles of various sizes and NONE of them would keep a flame...not even for a minute. These were going to be Christmas gifts this year and now not only am I out the money on all the wax I used, but I'm out the money on the containers and the wicks. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed. Save yourself the money and get wicks that will work.

Please do not waste your time or money!
I understand you get what you pay for, but please do not waste your time on this product. They do not burn at all! I had to redo several candles and luckily my customers were patient and understating. I ended up spending the money on this product plus having to buy elsewhere. When I contacted the seller they told me " we know your problem. but we cant give you a good solution at this moment. We will develop a a good wick for the next version."Knowing my problem is not resolving my problem. Please do not waste your money.

I like these a lot i do agree with other reviews ...
I like these a lot i do agree with other reviews that to get them to burn really well you need to use two together in the same base holder. however, they are still a bargain in my opinion
