I never checked. But, I doubt it.

Q: In a car, is the dc ground the same as the dc negative?

DC ground and DC negative, chassis ground, are the same thing, a direct connection to the battery negative terminal. The metal body of the car, frame, sheet metal, engine block etc are all connected together and connected to the negative battery cable .
