The Original Rider Waite: The Pictorial Key To The Tarot: An Illustrated Guide

A review of this edition/printing
There are a lot of reviews of the books material here, which is a little unfair. Though I would review the content well. It's literally by the person who designed and commissioned the associated tarot deck. Anyway, this version is lovely. A hardcover handbook, it's thick and small, and it's layout is great. It's a good quality book, and out of what's available out there, which is many many editions, I am glad I have this one.

The Ultimate Key
Stunning, the only handbook to the Tarot you'll ever need to study. Remember, this is from Arthur Waite himself, the original Rider deck creator. After twenty years studying the Tarot, this is the ultimate key.

Well, not what I expected
Beautiful book, but not what I was expecting, I glanced through the pages, anticipating some very big exciting keys to the tarot, but seemed like I did not find them. Yes, I was glancing. I placed the book on my shelf with the intention to keep anyhow for my collections. I will attempt to go back and read through it again. If I have a different review, I will come back and update my review.

Good but not very intuitive and interested
You'd think it's has all the secret of the trade but it's written in not very clear words and 1/3 of the book is talking about things that you already know about and worthless information. The second 1/3 of the book is talking about and explain the drawings of the cards which is also not very useful because people are not stupid to recognize the symbols. The last 1/3 it's basically boring historical methods.

The Tarot book
Too much to read

Useless no pictorial key
Where the key? I want a book that discusses each element pictured in tarot cards. This is not it.

Disappointing.
Not what I would I expect from a poet or student of mythology.Dismisses all interpretations but his own as "wrong". And his interpretations are literal & superficial. Keep as a part of the tarot's history but go elsewhere for depth.
