This product is great for men who dye their beard hair with henna for highlights.
I use this product to highlight and lighten my beard that I dye with dark brown henna. How to Dye Your Beard with Henna: A Practical GuideDyeing your beard can be a tough decision because many products end up looking fake. However, the henna I use gives my beard a natural dark brown shade that makes me look about 10 years younger. The key here is that the henna creates a more natural look compared to other dyes like "Just For Men," which are often more noticeable. That being said, there are a few challenges that come with dyeing your beard, but they are manageable with the right approach.Challenges with Dyeing Your BeardRoot Growth: After about five days, new hair grows in and pushes the dyed hair up, revealing the white or gray roots. This happens to everyone, no matter what product they use. Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to just touch up the roots, so when this happens, I have to re-dye the entire beard. This can be a bit tedious, but with a positive mindset, it’s worth the effort because of the youthful look it gives.Hair Dryness: Frequent dyeing can dry out my beard, even though henna is all-natural. After dyeing the same hairs multiple times, they can start to look frizzy or "fragile," as if they’re sticking out in all directions. To address this, I’ve experimented with different conditioning methods, including honey treatments and beard conditioners. Honey, when left in overnight, has worked wonders for some people, though I haven’t tried it yet myself.Color Intensity: One issue I’ve encountered is that if I let the henna paste dry completely, the coverage becomes too dark, almost bordering on black. While I have a shaved head and don’t need to match my hair color, the dark brown beard can sometimes look fake. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a lighter henna color that works well for my beard, and other brands I’ve tried don't provide enough color for my white hairs.Working Around the Dark Color IssueTo get a more natural variation in brown tones, I started using a bleach kit to apply highlights to my beard. After leaving the bleach on for about 15-20 minutes, the result is subtle highlights that lighten the beard, giving it a more natural appearance. This works well to break up the overly dark areas and create dimension in the beard. However, be cautious when using bleach. It can irritate your skin or cause a rash if mishandled, so do a patch test first. Also, bleach fumes can be strong, so use it in a well-ventilated area. I recommend starting with a small section of your beard to ensure you don’t have an adverse reaction.Choosing the Right Bleach KitLook for a bleach kit that’s reusable, as this can save you money in the long run. Many kits are designed for single-use, but you’ll want one that allows you to mix and store the product for multiple applications. I found a reusable kit with a cream developer and lightener, which I’ve used for over four months. You can also opt for professional bulk toners and lighteners, but this requires a larger upfront investment. The key is to have the right kit that you can use multiple times without wasting product.Conditioning Your BeardAfter dyeing and bleaching, conditioning your beard is essential. Some methods to try include:Tea or Coffee: Use it when mixing your henna for a deeper color and added conditioning.Egg: Mix egg into the henna for added protein that can help condition the hair.Beard Conditioner: Use a beard conditioner in the shower or a leave-in product to keep your beard soft.Honey Treatment: As mentioned, honey can be an effective overnight treatment for softening the beard.I’ve heard that women’s deep-conditioning treatments can work well too, though they are a bit expensive. If your beard is suffering from dryness due to frequent henna applications, a consistent conditioning routine is crucial for restoring its softness and manageability.Maintenance and Time CommitmentI’ve found that maintaining a dyed beard requires ongoing care. After re-dyeing every five days, you’ll need to dedicate some time to touch-ups and conditioning. The highlights also need to be reapplied regularly because the henna will color all of your hair, including the highlights. On average, I spend about 3 hours every 5 days to keep everything looking fresh.Final ThoughtsWhile dyeing your beard with henna and highlighting with bleach may seem like a lot of work, the results are worth it. With the right tools and techniques, you can achieve a youthful, natural look. If you're willing to put in the time and effort, this is an affordable option to maintain a great appearance. Just be prepared to care for your beard with conditioning treatments to keep it soft and healthy!

BEST BLEACH IN A BOX
This is honestly the best bleach in a box I've used. This is the 2nd time I'm bleaching my hair in 2 months because I've been trying to achieve a super light ash blonde color, and the first time around I used PurePlex bleach, and it kind of lifted my hair color, but not as much as I wanted it to. But this product, omg. If I had used this from the jump, I wouldn't have had to bleach it a second time.I was doing a balayage on myself so I still had medium brown hair to dye, and it lifted it with no problems. It is just a smidge brassy, but nothing some toning conditioner and purple shampoo/conditioner can't take care of.There really wasn't a smell. I didn't do my scalp so I can't say if it burns or not. However, this box bleach is definitely worth it.

Works Well, with little odor
This was my first time using box bleach but I was pleasantly surprised. Following the directions included in the box very closely you mix together the entire tube of bleach and bottle of developer in a ceramic bowl and mix until creamy...like cookies. To my surprise the concoction didn't smell as bad as other bleaches and additionally was not nearly as painful/uncomfortable as salon bleach. I applied it rather easily all over my medium brown hair, left it on for about 35 minutes, again very little pain during this time. Compared to the time I got my hair dyed at a salon, this was waaaay more comfortable. The first five minutes are little unpleasant but the rest of time was fine. Then I washed everything off and all my hair was very yellow/blonde. Then I applied sky blue Crazy Color. Anyway works great, would buy again.

Great for the price
I had no problems with this kit at all except there is no brush to put it on. I used this to ombré my ends and it worked like a charm. I left it on for about 45 minutes in foils and wow. It lightened very nicely. I have medium brown to darker brown hair and it changed to a nice caramel color. Some pieces ended up a little lighter than others but I had already had some blonde highlights in my hair. I just wanted to brighten and it worked.

Fairly decent product.
I purchased this product because it had oils in it that were supposed to leave hair softer and healthier.I did feel my hair was softer after using it. That I really liked. The only negative is that it did not have the lift I thought it would. It only lightened my medium brown hair to a light orange, instead of the ash blonde I had hoped for. If your hair is not too dark and you just want to lighten it a few shades, this is a good product.
