TEC is great. A note on usage.
Great little unit. I am using three of these with a water cooled system for cooling a fermenting chamber. Have gotten the chamber down to 26 degrees. Note that this unit pushes a lot of heat flux. You need a good radiator to extract the maximum heat. Jacking up the voltage can result in a less efficient system because the heat produced by the TEC cannot be pulled off the hot side and therefore prevents the cold side from dropping. This is a mistake made by many, thinking that the TEC is no good, when dropping the voltage would actually result in better cooling performance. Be sure to download the data sheet and do the engineering. Best COP is at about 11.75V.

Defective
I bought 2 of these and only one worked. The second one had a hyper 212 heatsink on the hot side. If you felt the bottom side only half was cold. You could see the frost on the cold side covering only half of the unit. The other half was room temperature.

works and keeps working
worked like a champ uses rite at 9 amp at idle for 12 volts was glad to see my project make it to 4C / 39.2F for a fridge project

Worthless
This is not a peltier device it is a huge and worthless resister. It has a hot side and a warm side. No cold. Just resistance. Worthless bat eater stuff.

Didn’t last long
The cooler failed after 5 days with little run time. Look elsewhere for a better product.

Received the wrong product, and the wrong product does not work.
Ordered the TEC1-12710 and received a non functional 12705.

Questionable Reliability
Bought 2. One generated just a bunch of heat. Other one seems to work, but who knows for how long.
