...from shoes or boots that have caked mud around the edges of the sole or underneath the sole. This is a very sturdy and well made item which I use after taking the dog for his run around the dog paddock that we go to. It's basically a grass field and in the winter or when it has been raining it's impossible not to get my boots caked with mud. I like this item because the 8cm wide scraper blade takes care of the worst of the mud and debris, especially around the sides and heel, whilst the excellent bristles of the boot brush get into the tread of the sole and make light work of cleaning all that packed in grass and mud too. The handle is easy to hold and is a good solid piece of wood that gives me confidence when having to use a bit of force to remove those hard to get off bits. A hanging loop is provided although you might need to replace it with an old shoelace as mine wore through quite quickly hanging it up when wet. As the description states: "Newman and Cole know what you need from a boot cleaner brush and aim to deliver exactly that!" and I think they have. Overall there's nothing not to like about this product and as you may have guessed - I am actually using this item and believe it to be of excellent value. Have this hanging outside near front door. Cleans my boots after walking dog, very well made good purchase, very happy with brush

Great boot brush does the job very well.

Really strong bristles help to clean out all the mud and debris from the bottom of walking boots and Wellington boots after a long dog walk. The scraper is great for getting the bulky mud off too. Its easy to clean by running under a tap and a sturdy handle. Will be buying a second for the second car thats for sure.

Having had this brush for 6 months I feel able to write a good review. On the plus side the bristles are sturdy and do an excellent job of removing mud and debris from our boots. The brush is well made and shows no sign of wear despite being regularly used. The plastic scraper is totally useless as it is on the end of the brush which has a long handle making it very unwieldy when trying to use the scraper. The long wooden handle would be much better cut off leaving it as a more typical scrubbing brush. Your hands will always get dirty cleaning ones boots and so removing the handle would make the brush much better
