Legacy Port That Works Well, Great Option For Old-School Parallel Port Devices
I got this for a client who has a receipt printer with a parallel port interface and they were upgrading their really old PC to a new one without a parallel port. The physical install was simple and easy. I downloaded the latest drivers and they installed with not problems either. Easy peasy.In operation this worked perfectly with the receipt printer it was bought for. I’m very pleased with the result for an economical option. I’ve used other Startech products with good luck so the brand played a role in my choice too. It did not disappoint. That’s why I’m giving this expansion card 5 stars.

Too short for my computer.
I purchased this card for my Dell XPS 8950. I did a search on Amazon for my specific tower so I could hook up my old (and perfectly good) Laser printer. The card is too short to fit my computer!, when it is plugged into the PCIe port the bracket does not reach the connector! I don't know if this is a fail on Amazon search, or if the product does not have an adequate adapter for length from the PCIe port to the bracket.
