Nice Digital Tool
The only other digital tool that I own is a Mitutoyo caliper, it was a gift, and everything else is old school analog. I saw this tool and thought why not give it a try, the price is right, and it has a nice base. Even if the indicator gauge is no good, I've got a usable base for my other gauges.Well, I love this thing! After running a few tests on some standards, I found it to be quite accurate, and it's very easy to use: no dials to turn, zeros out with the push of a button, and it seems to be durable. Time will tell if it performs, but so far so good. Also, it's much easier for these old eyes to read!The magnetic base works great! The magnet is strong, and it is very stable.I'm presently using it to turn an MT1 wood lathe taper. The dimensions are dead on. Highly recommend!

Great quality for the money
If you don't absolutely need a Mitutoyo or similar, this really does the trick. The buttons on the indicator need a couple clicks sometimes, but it moves smoothly enough. The base is no-frills but it locks up well and the threads aren't rough or sticky like a lot of cheaper bases. The base feels pro for sure.

Works as expected. The only complaint is that sometimes you have to fiddle with it to get it to stay still.

Mag Base is WEAK A. F.
Mag base is cheap junk. Completely worthless to a machinist. It may be okay for the occasional use but will NOT last long at all when used daily. And it's metric so it will only fit thier indicator. Speaking of which, it may be junk or it may be good. Have not tried it and honestly don't plan on trying it as the stem is also metric and does not fit any of my other mags or bases.
