Pioneer DJ DM-50D 5-inch Active Monitor Speaker - Black

I haven't had any problems with these. I use these for producing my own music with Ableton (guitars, bass, midi). They sound great to me. They get louder than I need them to go. I can't turn them all the way up and sit in front of them mixing and recording music.They do enter a rest mode when you don't use them for a long time. It takes less than a second for them to kick back on though. They never rest when I'm producing music. Only when no sound has gone through them for a while and again they come back on in under a second. If these were your concerns I recommend buy them.Pros:LoudIncluded wiresThey look nice5" speakersAnytime I go to a concert the DJs are using pioneer equipment. 🤷‍♂️😅Cons:I wish the power switch was on the front and not the back, but it's a matter of preference and not really much of an inconvenience.They're a little more expensive but I don't have to live with the fear of missing out after buying cheaper 3.5" PreSonus speakers.

If you’re a DJ or a music producer and you love dance music especially EDM/house, these are outstanding. Bonus points if you have a Pioneer DJ controller (which are industry/club standard) to go with it. Plenty of bass to go along with the amount of volume you can crank this up with (best way to test this is with EQ knobs on DJ controller).I know some rate the KRK Rokit 5 higher but it’s pricier and I’m not even sold it’s a better product tbh. Pioneer usually designs their product to work very smoothly with each other.

I searched for a long time for some quality speakers to hook up to my mixer and decks. These are amazing! Way bigger sound than the speaker looks like it would put out. Clean and crisp. The bass is excellent. They are loud! They look nice and it’s great to have an additional volume control. I’m very, very happy with these speakers.

I liked the sound which was full for a 5". Liked front volume control.BUT!They quit working completely in just over 3 months! AND A DEAD LOSS FOR ME.Working with Pioneer warranty is possible with receipt but they want me to pay to ship to a service center. (About 1/3 of what they cost.) Even though totally non-working. (There's no "repairing" this sort of modern electronics. The amps inside the unit are unreachable.)Who knows how long their monkey business would take and if I'd ever see a new pair of speakers! No thanks.Pioneer warranty is a joke. Amazon return window is only 30 days unless a bit longer on black friday.So if your speakers fail even one day after that, your money is gone.
