Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum with Precise Distance Sensor System Powerful Suction LDS Path Planning 5200mAh Battery for Hard-Floor N Low Thin Carpet, White

I purchased a Samsung Turbo Power Vacuum from Amazon which was a thousand dollars and had to return it. Amazon sent a second one which also I returned. Those vacuums never once were able to finish cleaning our home without stopping and rarely went back to their home base. This Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum at a third of the price is amazing. It has always clean all of our home including the bathrooms, pantry etc. and returned to it's base for recharging. It takes it a hour and 45 minutes to complete our home at it's medium speed setting. Also, this vacuum is fairly quiet. The phone app was in Chinese but, has a language choice which is now English. The phone app and vacuum now speak clear English in a woman's voice. I bought Boundary Markers from Al-Vacuum for a Neato on Amazon and it keeps the vacuum away from our shag area rug. The Samsung would ignore them and get stuck. In fairness I did removed two area rugs that had the color black in their design and replaced them with medium to thin rugs in a lighter color. The Xiaomi will clean them. The phone app is amazing because you can see were vacuum has cleaned. It has mapped our entire home and it cleans all of it then returns to recharge. Problem areas were our dining room table and six chairs. The Xiaomi cleans all of it. Our other problem area was our grand piano with six bar stools. By moving the stools to one side the Xiaomi does it. With my phone I can cancel the cleaning and it will go back to it's charging station. Not once have I had a problem with our Wifi with this vacuum. The Samsung would disconnect from our Wifi regularly. Cleaning power is excellent. It is amazing how much dirt this vacuum collects. You do have to empty it after each cleaning. You can program the vacuum cleaner to come on at any time and on any day or all days to clean. One concern is I cannot find a replacement battery if this one goes out. I hope Xiaomi has replacement batteries when the time comes.

I've had the Xiaomi Mi for about a week now and it works quite well. I have a German Shepherd and 2 cats so I am constantly cleaning up pet hair on hard floors, and this vacuum has taken over my daily sweeping!!It does have limitations: It does not have sensors to detect edges like the top of stairs (thankfully not a problem for me as we have no stairs in our home). It has a difficult time with uneven areas. we have an area rug in our kitchen that is rather dense and it struggles to get on and off which results in poor cleaning around the rug. It does a fair job cleaning sand and dirt.If you are looking for a product to completely replace your full sized vacuum then this is not it (not sure that there is a robot vacuum that can accomplish that task. But it works well for daily use to control the fur from a heavy shedding dog.I was really impressed with the packaging, unfortunately it is all in Chinese so I could not read all the labels and instructions.The app is really easy to use and set up was also easy. Initially the robot will speak (yes it talks to you) in Chinese, but this can be changed to English in the app.

I had a Rumba 655 for four years running on a ~900 sq ft routine every weekday for about 4 years. I had to do a full disassembly to clean its sensors after 3 years, but overall I was very pleased with build quality. Alas, it finally wore down to the point it needed to be retired.After some really bad experience with one of the cheaper brands, I vent for Xiaomi RoboRock 1st Gen and it proved to be even better robot for the job at hand. Now after it ran same routine for 3 month I feel it is a good time to share my experience with it.I have two cats, mid and long-haired ones and they live on a mix of hardwood floors/laminate and some area rugs. With Rumba I had to clean main brush almost daily, but now I only need to do it on the new vacuum about once a week. This is a great change, because cleaning brush from cats' fur is not fun. Robot still collects all the hair, debris, and dust, even as it runs one suction level below the max (to keep noise down and to prolong motor's life).Other pros: It only needs about half a battery to finish the cleanup, I may try to set it for a criss-cross cleanup pattern, but it will be likely an overkill. It uses lidar navigation, much easier to coexist with it than with my old random-moving Rumba. It gives clear voice messages if there is a problem. Its phone app shows where on a room's map it is in real time, which makes easy to find if it gets stuck somewhere.Some cons: Magnetic strip for "virtual wall" is sold separately ($20). Container could be a bit larger, it gets jam-packed after weekends. Setting up the phone app was not easy (hint: use "USA server (Asia)", and not a "USA server"), and one cannot download English voice, set schedule, or enjoy the map view without it (one can still start it with the button).Overall it is a great buy for half the price of what comparable new Rumba (with navigation) would cost. The build quality is definitely there. Only time will show how long it will last overall. I hope I will remember to update this review if anything major happens to the robot.Thank you for reading!

Very good product. As robo-vacs go I think it's the best value for money out there. Very methodical navigation algorithm. It misses virtually no areas in my living room and kitchen. It does get stuck under my sofa sometimes as the height is just enough to let it under but a sag in the middle catches it. Also any furniture with slanted legs that have a low gradient can catch it out as it tries to go up them as if they were a ramp. Other than that it produces really good maps of rooms so you can see where it's been and it uses surprisingly little time and power to get the job done.

Firstly, when we received the product it appeared to be refurbished and not completey new. The packaging was opened and clearly taped over many times, and the product arrived from Germany and not China. Additionally, the seal of the inner box was also open and when we first tried to connect it to our home wifi it was already connected to a different wifi indicating it had been used by someone else. When the seller was confronted about this they claimed that their clerk in Germany needed to try the product to make sure that it works but this seems very suspicious as why would a brand new product from the manufacturer not work? Highly suspicious...Although the vacuum works well (and we eventually managed to get it connected to our home wifi), there are quite a few bugs which are either an issue with the model or with our specific vacuum. Firstly, every other day the map gets randomly erased from the app and then the vacuum needs to map our entire house again from scratch. This happens with almost every cleaning and therefore makes the map and "zone" cleaning function quite useless. Secondly, the vacuum starts to return to the dock when it is at 20% battery saying that "battery is low" and most times, this is when the map gets erased and then it cannot find it's way back to the dock. The cleaning power and suction itself is powerful and very helpful with pet hair but the above mentioned issues means it constantly needs to be monitored and cannot just "roam free" in the house.

Fantastic product. We use it daily for clearing up after dinner with toddler. Such a time saver. Even when cleaned with good normal hoover this still manages to pick up dust that’s missed. It gets faster as it learns the layout of the room. For the amount we use it and the reliability it’s worth the cost. I spent a long time researching the different makes and am happy that went for this make - cheaper than some of the other brands but does more for the price.The only thing was it took a while 2weeks to arrive as shipped from China. Had to contact seller but they were very helpful so couldn’t fault that. It arrived safely.

The vac arrived in 10 days and came with a uk plug and instructions in english ( nice big writing that was actually legible which was a nice change ). Setting up via the app was really easy, again all in english.Really impressed with the performance so far. The laser feature means the navigation in excellent. You can even see a history of where you vac has cleaned. I have had a robovac that wasnt working for a couple of days before and went unnoticed as I only clean on the timer function overnight. This feature should get over that. The bin is big compared to other robovacs I have had and also easier to empty. Timer function via the app is excellent, allowing me to set separate schedules for weekdays and weekends. You can also setup custom timers so you could set up each day differently of you want. On each timer you also have the option to choose different power settings. Overall I am really pleased with the Xiaomi Mi vrobvac , I just hope it proves to be reliable.The only minor gripe is that it came with a black power lead and the vac itself is white but the quick postage, easy to read booklet and easy set up more than make up for this.

My wife called it a "game changer". It's actually very good. We have laminate throughout the house and this thing is quite literally cleaning every single corner. Maps the whole environment and doesn't seem to miss a spot. I woudl highly recommend it to anyone with hard floors ( can't comment on carpet efficiency ).The app is nice and shows exactly what the unit did ( which paths it follows and where it actually cleaned ); the sensors seems to be able to scan and identify even tiny objects in the way but the device is still very good at navigating around things and keep as close as possible to obstacles to make sure every inch is cleaned.
