SUBURBAN MFG Suburban 2504ABK Nt-20Seq Furnace

I bought this unit for a custom van build. For my application, the direct discharge worked perfect and there is an option for a 4" duct out the side if you need. NOTE: if you are installing this in a custom setup like me, you will need a TWO STAGE propane regulator, the single stage will not work. I could not get it to ignite and finally after talking to tech support we realized I bought a single stage regulator. After installing a new two stage, it ignited immediately. The fan inside is average noise for an RV propane heater, however the outside exhaust is nearly silent. The biggest feature for me was the operating draw being only 2.7 amps 12v. This is a huge win for a van build operating on 12v batteries and solar. Ultimately I decided to go this route over a diesel parking heater because the system is better built and works on regular style RV thermostats which I was familiar with.

The furnace arrived yesterday with a broken flange on the intake pipe (black plastic).I called Suburban and they told me I can go to a dealer and order a new part.OR I can return the entire unit to Amazon and order a new one. How dumb is that! Its a cheap plastic part, and Suburban could send a new one.

I purchased this for a tiny house, it worked great! It took the tiny house from 50° to 75° in under an hour. Super happy with it.

I installed this in a cargo trailer conversion to replace a Wave 8 that failed due to desert dust. It's a fairly straight forward install. I build a simple wooden box to house it. I like that it doesn't use inside air and exhaust is vented unlike the Wave 8 catalytic heater that I constantly had to be careful to not asphyxiate while using.

The instructions aren't very clear. So if you're not an electrician, this might be a difficult installation. I muttered through it because I've done these a few times, but my main gripe is that the outer housing is very thin metal, if you don't set this thing perfectly the first time, it will bind on the fan which is very close to the outer housing, making quite a deal of noise.After a few adjustments, I was able to get it to set in there to where there was no fan noises. They should move the fan a little bit away from the outer housing, and also give a more sturdy outer housing for durability and mounting purposes.

New install on our boat. 1st one arrived completely destroyed by UPS. Ordered a second one and it arrived in good condition.Installation went in easy enough and I found directions adequate. Four wires and a couple holes for the exhaust. Worst part was finding a place in the boat to put it without serious modifications.1st couple burns it stinks, as expected, while it burns in the new paint. after that there is no smell.It heats up fast and blows the heat out with good volume to heat the area quickly.Noise level is about what I expect from a RV heater.So far I recommend to anyone

The media could not be loaded.  SECOND unit making awful, horrible, fan noise because it was screwed into place off-center at the factory. Really just need this straight replacement for the 12 year old one whose fan screeches a bit, otherwise would not be rolling the dice on a third one.

Bought unit to replace my not so quiet furnace. Installed in RV, and was twice as noisy as original unit. Removed unit and inspected. Found fan was broken. No external damage found, so unit was damaged from manufacturer. Terrible quality control. Returned unit for refund, and istalled original unit. Would no reccommend.

The unit arrived and had a dented sidewall which I was able to fix. There was also no propane shut off valve or thermostat included, both of which I was expecting to be included as they are indicated included on the OEM's website for this particular furnace. Not happy at all with this purchase.
