Brought my grill back to life
The media could not be loaded. I had a low flame on this pit boss pellet smoker/grill combo since I got it used. A friend came over and mentioned the low flame which I just thought was normal. It bothered me for a while but I never got around to it and couldn't figure out exactly what the issue was. Decided to test out the regulator and one I replaced it the grill came back to life. Installing it was easy but removing the old regulator was difficult because the nut was corroded. Needed to use PB blaster and disassemble a few panels so I could apply force without twisting other connections. This regulator might be too strong actually. After about 20psi I ended up getting a fireball under my grill but I think that's my grill components not being rated for this high pressure and not the regulator. Or maybe I twisted something when I first tried to remove the first regulator. The PSI gauge works fine for me. Others noted it was broken

My grill stopped working one day. It lit for a second and quickly died. I though the propane tank was empty, so I took it to be filled. Apparenly it was fully, but I was told that valve was sticking. After being refilled, I hooked it back up to the grill and used it a few times flawlessly. I left the valve open so it wouldn't get stuck closed again. Well one day shortly after, it lit and quickly died. I hooked the tank to my propane torch and it worked flawlessly. So I figured it must be the regulator. I installed this line with the adjustable regulator and holy cow! I have never seen such a flame come off this grill. I've never had a problem cooking on this thing before, but with this new line there is so much more heat coming out! I love the adjustability of the regulator. I can easily match the heat setting that I had before, but there's plenty of heat available in case I need to melt down gold, cremate rodents from the garden, or anything else my little heard desires. I am absolutely pleased with how well this line and regulator works so far.

it works but sensitive
I bought it to my modified grill. the previous one (from another brand failed and I installed this one a few weeks ago. Used it several times. It is OK... not great. Things I dont like - the dial is sensitive. A minor turn of the dial can make the flame burn high or completely extinguish. It takes time to set. In the initial use, once I set it, the pressure decreased after a while (i think because the membrane stretched in the first use). Second issue, the pressure gauge doesnt work - i am using a normal 20lb propane bottle - maybe the gauge is designed for other type of propane sources. I should probably give it 2-3 stars, but it was cheap and i dont really need the pressure gauged... so I will stretch it to 4 stars.

Big flame, REALLY big flame!!
My gas grill just would not get hot enough for the sear on steaks I wanted. I installed this regulator on my Weber Spirit 310 and presto: all the flame I could ever need. It is amazing the difference between the stock regulator and this one. You do need to be careful you don't dial the heat up too much as I imagine you could damage the grill. You could probably use the grill as a forge (not recommended) and I think that would be dangerous.Just use common sense and enjoy a commercial quality sear. Once the steak is seared, then you can dial it back to low and slow to finish cooking to desired temp.

Who would have thunk it?
Just a few years ago I purchased a grill from Homedepot. We used it almost every day for a long time but it was never up to what we thought it should be. Took too long to cook, wouldn't get hot enough to really sear a steak etc..Just installed this today and WOW what a difference that makes.I lit the burner and it was just too much so I cranked the regulator down and down until the flame sounded a bit less dangerous. The gauge showed 0 psi and I cranked it even lower. Still the flame was twice the size as before. Closed the lid and the temp climbed quickly to 600f. Now we're talking!!!Decided to cook three rib eyes I had picked up the day before. Lit only one burner and turned it way down. The grill came up to 300 - 350f and stayed there. Sweet!! Just where I wanted it.We did the reverse sear method. Brought the steaks to 110f internal temp over about 20 minutes then lit up the sear burner. Now that is what a sear burner should work like. Bright orange and hot as heck. Actually seared the meat!!Everyone agreed, those steaks were excellent and I owe it all to the "upgrade" on the grill.Very happy with my purchase.Burgers tomorrow.. can't wait!

Make sure you purchase this regulator hose with a gauge.
I needed a propane hose line for my garage forced air propane heater. The hose supplied with the heater actually didn't fit my small propane tank. It worked out for the best because I bought this longer hose and spent the extra money for a regulator hose with a gauge. It's well worth the money to purchase the gauge with the regulator hose as I was having some trouble getting the unit to ignite. I checked the gauge and noticed that this longer hose/regulator/gauge came delivered set at too low a pressure. By making a minor adjustment with the knob (also supplied when you order the gauge, I now can heat my garage in minutes). Excellent purchase and the extra 3 feet of hose length compared to the one supplied with my heater is also recommended to have more flexibility in locating the tank.
