Seriously, these are old people trousers.Lovely and very comfortable!But come on, who wants trousers that sit above your bellybutton?

Seen lots of reviews claiming these don't have stretch, etc.I normally buy the Gap Flex-fit chinos in a 31/30. They are soft and slightly flexible and have a nice snug fit all round. Couldn't get more comfortable. But Gap closed their EU website and now its a bit hit a miss using Next to buy Gap products.So I went through Amazon Essentials Straight Fit 31/30 - MUCH too tight around the waist and a rougher material.Then I got Amazon Essentials Stretch Fit 32/31 - Soft just like the Gap ones! But too big!So today I got the Amazon Essentials Stretch Fit 31/30 - Perfect! Just like the gap ones - maybe a tad thinner material, but half the price!Hope this review helps as I kept patient and went through a few to find what I wanted.Remember "Stretch Fit" they will say "Athletic" on the inside near the label.

Easy to wash, looks good and are comfortable with thicker material than I expected so wearable in cooler weather while feeling warm. There is some stretch in the material and while certainly not figure hugging, they come close to a slim fit design, so I am glad I ordered a size larger than I would have done, but that is more luck than judgment and the reason I knocked a star off the score.
