Works great and performs well at 60hz 4K
This was bought for my father in law for his new laptop wanting to watch his sky sports, rugby etc, on his tv where he didn’t have a sky box. It worked straight out if the box, plugged cable into it then it into laptop (windows 11) and tv came straight up and no lag on the far paced game.As always with StarTec kit.Works great, performs well. Exactly as described.I know what I’ll be buying when I need one.

4K RGB / 4:4:4 HDR Capable!
Bought to use on my RTX 2080Ti (Founders) as my displayport to HDMI lead started playing up and not recognising my display (Sony TV) as being 4K and just 1080p instead. With this adaptor combined with a £10 5m KabelDirekt 4K HDMI 2.0 cable my display was immediately picked up by the GPU as full 4K, either RGB or 4:4:4 (or lower) with HDR(10) at 60Hz. No setting up, no drop-outs / flickering, and a perfect picture! Great for if you run 2 HDMI displays from this GPU! Thoroughly recommended product!

Broken within a year
Within a few months it was flaky—either losing the display signal completely or rarely sending a completely pink image to the screen. A year in it was happening every time I woke the computer and often randomly during use. Replaced with an equivalent official Apple unit and it works flawlessly. It had been used to connect a Mac Studio to a 60HZ 27" Dell monitor via USB-C so was completely stationery and not under any strain.

Works with Dell Inspiron 15 5580
After searching about for information about what might or might not work with my laptop's usb 3.1 Gen1(type C) connection, to my TV's hdmi 2.0 input, and not getting much information ... I took a chance on this and it works.I never write reviews but I thought I'd write one for this ... if your laptop has a usb 3.0 type C and is marked as a display port then this adapter works just fine.

Great for 4k 60fps from Dell XPS 15 9500 to external displays
Successfully able to get 4k 60fps output from my Dell XPS 15 (9500 model) using this adapter and a high bandwidth hdmi cable. Awesome and far exceeds the ability of the hdmi adapter Dell supplied which could only manage 30fps.
