Great unit for wireless
I have been using Unifi units for a long time and I must add this is a great for that replacement. I have grown to dislike the support and replacement / firmware issues of unifi and moving towards these units has been great. Nice interface can have it on a private non facing internet as needed. You don't have to use the cloud like other wireless units on the market. There is the option but it is up to you. This is a keep and I can't wait to roll out some larger projects with these units.

So far so good
Got this because1. I don’t trust tp link, their focus on subscription based services means I will stay away from them as much as possible2. Unifi needs an app and a controller to use3. Wanted wifi6 and poe only.Firmware updates were easy. Overall setup was easy. In built controller meant a single place to configure all devices.Love the extra capabilities and dashboards. Simple and useful. Paired it with a mikrotik poe switch and I wasn’t expecting much anyway.Hopefully the company supports the product long enough.

Deceptive Model Number
This is actually for the GWN7660E model instead of the GWN7660, which has an extra Ethernet port.

Best AP system I've ever had!
3 GWN7660 APs, in a wireless mesh, driven by a Netgate (pfSense) security gateway, turns out to be the ultimate system for my home. I have multiple VLANs, and SSIDs, to segment traffic for Main, IoT, Guest, Streaming, and VoIP.No dead spots. Everything just works, flawlessly.

The WiFi is good. The UI needs more options.
I haven't been able to test the range capabilities of this unit yet, but what I have been able to test is solid. The controller UI - namely the available options - are lacking. For instance, you can't set SNMP location or contact info. Pretty basic SNMP options. Obviously, AES>128/SHA>1 is not available.SSH is a feature that you have to enable on the AP to use, and it disables itself after 48hrs. We should be able to keep this on all the time. Coming from UBNT, I've had bad AP updates that I needed SSH to fix. That's hard to do if you need to access a non-functioning controller to enable SSH first.Email alerting isn't working with Amazon SES, probably due to password length (>64 chars). But there are no user-facing logs, so who can say for sure. Can't change controller user name. Not a huge deal. Maximum password length for controller is 32 characters. Why?Pre-programmed firmware update location does not work. Is incorrect out of the box.Another nitpick: my unit is wallmounted, and when the mounting plate was level, the installed AP's "Grandstream" text in the center was very much not level. The LEDs on the unit seem to be aligned with the level mounting plate, but the text wasn't. Strange QA problem. Obviously, I had to fix this by tilting the mounting plate off center. I think on a ceiling you wouldn't notice, but on a wall, that text stands out.Overall, it seems like a good unit, backed by a poor user interface with no real advanced options that aren't related to the radios.

Can't go wrong. Switch from Unifi and this is rock solid!!!!
Got tired of all the buggy Unifi firmware and was recommended to try GS APs...I have 3 running and business office. The setup was very straight forward and coverage far exceeds UniCRAP.Highly recommended
