I Love this pillow.
Very comfortable. Fits right onto the Master Massage HeadRest Cradle - has the correct velcro connections. Extremely comfortable. Good quality.

Good but could be better
I have used many different headrests in my massage practice. I would say that for the money it is a suitable replacement I would probably buy a different design in the future as I feel like the chin and cheek cushioning could be better.

Face Cradle Solution
I’ve tried several different face cradles and have never had results as with this one. I noticed none of my clients have had to readjust their heads while in prone during sessions. I’m sticking with this brand!

Not "memory foam"
This is more like a dense foam that has a very fast rebound. Memory foam should be much more soft with a slow rebound. If you're using this with a standard face cradle platform, it will still create pressure points along the outer cheeks, jaw line, and forehead. The only thing that is nice about it is the amount of space for your eyes, nose, and mouth. It is very open in the middle which is kind of a hit and miss, depending on the size of your clients' faces. I have a very small face which is why the cushion does not conform well/ at all to my face. Bigger clients may benefit more from this - not so much for tiny little Asians like myself. Another thing that is a bit of a bummer is the fact that there is no way to remove the outer cover for the cushion in order to wash it. It is completely sewn all around. It's okay but definitely could use improvement.

clients love it. only flaw (why not a five star rating) is that the standard face cradle covers do not fit properly as the shape is a little different than the standard face cradles. They fit a little tight therefore making the breathing hole smaller.

WOW! What a difference!!
I offer energy sessions and my massage therapist friend recommended this face rest after her last session when my face rest was uncomfortable. She is looking forward to her next session with me, now that I have this new, SOFT, SUPPORTIVE face rest that will be in place.

Well thought out design
I am really pleased with the Master face cushion, it's a great addition to my therapy room. It is very spacious relative to most face rests I have come across in other salons and makes for a more comfortable experience when it is used for an extended period of time. For the price it is money well spent and very easy to use and clean.

The Good, the Ugly, and the Bad
Purchased three of these, in separate transactions, the first as a trial, the next because the trial suggested improvement over existing (albeit relatively poor man's) face pillows. Two navy-grey colour, the third, the premium cream-colour with embossed logo/branding 'master MASSAGE TABLES'.The Good: The foam does indeed have a plush feel, complemented very nicely by the very soft, and conveniently wipeable (re COVID hygiene protocol, for example) cover material. Numerous clients noticed the introduction of these new face pillows and commented that they feel much more comfortable than what we had previously. But certainly not all clients. The Ugly: The bottom of the cover-material on the embossed, ie the most expensive, pillow was received with what looks like jagged claw-like, distorted-zigzag tear marks in it. One on each 'wing'. Spanning the full width of each wing. Not quite visible to users, but a concern as to the integrity of the material, and (initially) as to how long before the tears may propagate around to and up the sides (which they have now). Fortunately the Pillow base is a separate panel from the side panel it is stitched to so propagation extent will be limited to that stitch line. The Bad: Although this face pillow is somewhat better than what we had, (as relatively 'poor' as they were) and both looks (in advertiser photos), and is described, as likely to deliver standout comfort, disappointingly it does not. Unless perhaps one happens to have an exceptionally wide (approaching watermelon-sized) face. Or lies on it only for relatively short lengths of time.Reasons: In theory, the soft foam, the soft lining material, and the contoured form should mean the face will be generously and relatively uniformly, ie dispersedly, supported at forehead and around face and cheeks. However, both the separation between the 'wings' (ie distance across the hole left-to-right) and the slope of the inner contours of the wings means no touchdown of sides of face. Instead, typically while lieing face-down on it, one can insert fingers between both cheeks and each inner pillow wing's contours, ie, lots of space and distance in these lateral areas.Hence, in reality, for most users, all load is placed onto forehead/brow. This feels 'plush' - for a limited time due to the soft materials - but only until whole-head load, bearing on only that one small area, becomes intolerable, (by around 20-30 minutes clients start shifting around trying to reposition and get comfortable again). However, even this undesirable outcome assumes a client's face even remains in position. In practice, the slippery underside of the pillows, results in the Pillow sliding forward (on wipeable vinyl-covered massage tables the Pillows' Velcro securing pads are not only literally useless but actually exacerbate the sliding problem) and away from even the small area that may have been in initial contact, the forehead. Hence clients end up not supported by the Pillow at all, but instead with their face in the hole of the massage table, and often a nasty red forehead crease as a consequence of their forehead pressing into the stitched edge of the hole.Disappointing results from a product pitched and priced at the premium end of the market. But hopefully also correctable issues that the manufacturer, with hopefully detailed enough descriptive feedback here to comprehend and work with, may address with modified improved future versions. Current version may at least suit situations where client face-down times do not exceed half an hour or so.
