Works Great!
Bought these for my 04 GTO. They are easy to install. One was strong enough to hold the hood up while I installed the other side.

Perfect fit on 2006 Pontiac GTO
These worked perfectly for my 2006 Pontiac GTO. They seem strong. While changing them out, The hood was able to stay up by itself with just one of these installed while I was working on the second. With both, it's very stable. Hoping these last a long time. Good value!

Work great
I had a hood that would suddenly slam shut, literally when the wind blew. Very dangerous.These are easy to install and work perfectly. Will lift the hood from about half way up. I will update this review if they don't last.To install, you will need a TP30 Torx Plus bit unless you want to Vice Grips the screws out and replace them with regular Allen heads. Regular Torx bits do NOT fit properly. The top releases by prying outward on the metal clip with a screwdriver while pulling away from the ball mount.Follow up: 2 years later they are still holding strong.

Rock solid supports
Atlas strong under your hood. I read several reviews of this and many other products...couldn't be happier. Slapped these in my 2006 GTO which has a much heavier hood than typical. The OEMs were completely smoked so thought I'd find something reasonably priced with phenomenal reviews which isn't always the best solution. This time it was and it took all of 5 min to install. As long as you have a star bit set (of the basic type) and possibly a cold beer, you're good to go. Just purchased a second set for my 2006 Ram, and have no worries that it'll be anything other than great!

A great replacement!
I definitely needed these as a replacement for my hood lifts. My old hood lifts would work occasionally and sometimes it would hold my hood open. Then I found these, installation was quick and easy. I can say that these work absolutely great, my hood stays open and I don't have to worry about my hood slowly coming down on my head. Definitely worth the money spent!

easy to install and very strong
My hood was collapsing on me in cold weather after 13 years. These went in easy and are very strong. Almost too strong, lol, because they can really open the hood hard. And this is a heavy hood, so these are quality. No issues after almost 2 years.
