Foam water filter
I ordered these thinking I was getting the rope kind, but upon opening, I noticed they were compressed foam. Now, nothing against this filter yet, as I just installed it today, but I have used the rope kind for over 12 years and they do a really great job. Altho, this filter may be just as good or better for my well, as I have alot of sediment of iron. So, it's my bad, for not reading that it was foam. Today, I did reorder the rope kind, as that is what I m used to, comparing to local box stores, these were the greatest. So, at this point. I will give this foam filter a chance to see how it performs. In reviews of rope filters, it claims they are better and last longer than the foam filters. So, it's like a wait and see project now. I'm 74 and it was easy to change either filter. Along with patience of no leakage.
