Great for beginners or established artists
We are using this set as part of our sketching unit for homeschooling our two boys. They are beginners so I don't want to invest in a top of the line super expensive large set yet- so far the leads are great and work just like the different softness levels should. I honestly don't think we will even need to seek out a more advanced set because these are great. Good price and worth getting whether or not you are a great artist or a beginner, or a child.

For people that don't like getting their hands dirty
I took a drawing class and the first class I got so dirty from the charcoal that I bought these that very night. Unfortunately, it's better to get your hands dirty with some Vine charcoal. These are just not as blendable as a traditional charcoal

White chalk pencils
They are terrific for marking dark fabric. They sharpen beautifully, the white chalk doesn’t fall out like colored pencils do.

5-star product...4-star delivery, (I assume).
I gave the product 4 stars instead of 5, because one of the pencil leads was broken, when I opened them.Not a huge deal, and delivery can be tricky, sometimes, so it's not return-worthy, to me.I used these to do plotting for white painting on a black-based 3d print, and they are working well, so far.Overall, good buy for the money.

A great pencil
This is a nice pencil! It leaves a nice white line first time. Bought for my art class doing zentangles.
