Lovecraft and Edward Lee, a love story
Edward Lee is one of the most talented writers taking on the most unimaginable subjects. Once I wrap my head around his concepts, I find myself...changed, but also enjoying the ride. I won't spoil a thing, if you've come this far reading a review, just do it.

Greatest Love Story Since Romeo and Juliet
Dunwich Romance presents an alternate storyline to the Lovecraft tale „The Dunwich Horror”. Maybe Wilbur Whateley, with the help of his god Yog-Sothoth, wants to end the world as we know it, but on the inside he is the warmest and kindest man of whole Dunwich. He saves Sary, the homeless prostitute of the village, from rape and gives her shelter. This is a very lucky turn of event for him because secretly he has been in love with the woman for a long while, but so far he did not have the courage to make advances. Sary also finds the gentle and strong man irresistibly attractive. But how could their romance bloom in the shadow of dark things to come? How could Wilbur balance his love life with his secret black magician life? You will know, if you read this heartfelt and masterfully written novel! And I will be honest with you: I cried at the end. This book is hardcore Lee, so you will find plentiful and explicit creative humiliation, rape, torture and perversion in it.

I enjoyed Edward Lee's diction and style
There is much to be said for Pastiche. I felt this story went where Lovecraft could not go, where Weird Tales did not dare to tread. I felt that the book was perhaps less true to the character of Wilbur Whateley, while at the same time humanizing him, and I am a huge proponent of giving the monster his due. I enjoyed Edward Lee's diction and style, even if it was--at times--a little too high for the characters in question. I fell in love with Wilbru Whateley when I first read The Dunwich Horror (as a character, mind you! I know what you're thinking!), and this novel allowed me to reconnect with him--in a purely platonic fashion. Stop looking at me like that! Pervs! :) Read it to satisfy your most debased love and curiosity for erotic horror fanfiction. Never has erotic horror fanfiction been this fun. I only wish it were longer, but I've been saying that about fanfic since I was fourteen.

A GREAT, WEIRD READ!!!!!
Hello, Mr. Lee can tell a story like there's no tomorrow. I believe he is at his best when telling stories of the supernatural. Thanks.

Edward Lee Hits Another Home Run
I received a digital copy of this book in return for an honest review. I am a huge Edward Lee fan and most of the time he hits them out of the park. This book is no exception and is one of Mr Lee's best in the last several years. As expected, the reader may want to read the "pre-quel" The Dunwich Horror prior to reading this one. I did not but wish I had though as I read Mr Lees book it "mostly" came back to me. I will not go into the book synopsis to try and make my review look "long and smart," as in Amazon you can get to the synopsis rather easily. If you are a Edward Lee fan or a fan of H.P Lovecraft and his Cthulhu Mythos, you definitely want to obtain this book, no one supplements Mr Lovecraft better than Mr. Lee, in my humble opinion.

Nope, and no
I am - and always will be - a huge Lee-fan. Along with my younger brother, we're perhaps the only ones here in Finland! But - and I have to tell you, I don't like to put Mr. Lee down - this one didn't do it for me. It's among the very few - fortunately - two-stars-installments regarding this author. He will keep writing, we (me and my brother) will keep reading them, and have more than a few chuckles in between!Any chance of a sequel to Slither, or perhaps Family Tradition? Or a new hell-infuelled Inferno-installment? That'd be on my Christmas-list, no doubt about it.

Another good one for this very strange niche.
Now, Lee doing Lovecraft doesn't always work. In this book however, it works just fine! It's mixed in with the most filthy pornographic slapstick scenes (of the gross-out nature), but there are even heartwarming moments in this one! I approached it with some trepidation because there's really not many places for Lee left to go with his particular line in fiction, so i thought it might be even a little boring. It's not, and works quite well.
