Customer service contacted me after my review and sent me a brand new 10x12 Heavy Duty Clear Tarp.Couldn't be happier.OLD POST: I bought two of these one 10x12 and one 8x16. The 8x18 held up great over the winter. The wrinkles dropped out and it is beautifully clear and snug. The 10x12 came with deep creases and wrinkles that from the beginning will tear every time the wind blows. I've gone through 3 rolls of clear gorilla tape to try to stay ahead of the tearing. I thought maybe it tore because it was cold (even though the other one didn't tear and was also in the cold) but it is still tearing even though it is warm out. I guess the creases and wrinkles are just to deep set. I need to replace it but I don't want to be out another $110.+ to risk it again.

I have one of the gazebo's that Costco sells and wanted to be able to sit out under it even when it's winter. PNW weather is usually windy and raining October through June. These work great, the perfect size and I used zip ties to tie them together. Many of my potted plants didn't freeze when the temps dropped because I have 3.5 sides of the gazebo closed off with these 8X12' clear tarps. They are heavy and seem durable.

For the most part this tarp was as described. Nowhere in the description did it mentioned that it would have a splice, but when it came there was a notice enclosed in the box that said if the width of the tarp was 6.5 feet or larger it would have a splice. My tarp was 8 foot by 10 foot and I have a splice that runs along the 10 foot edge. This was not a deal breaker for me, but if you wanted to use it as pictured on the website it might be distracting. The splice is just a thickened line about an inch or so wide where the two pieces of vinyl are fused together. The other thing was that getting this tarp unfolded was a major project. It was compressed together so tightly I had to lay it in the sun to soften slightly before it could be pulled apart into a flat tarp. The wrinkles do fall out eventually, but will likely never be as smooth as the pictures show - only a problem if you want a clear view like looking out of a window. Overall, this product has performed well and served my purpose of blocking wind and still letting in light and being able to see thru.

This product is incredible. The quality and the thickness is exactly what I was hoping for as well as the clarity. I purchased several of these to use around my chickens run to block the cold winter wind so they could continue to spend time outside of the coop this winter. The clarity helps me to see inside the run and they can still continue to see out when they need to.

If you need a clear tarp that is 10 X 12 this is NOT for you, measures at 9.10 X 11.9Clear Piece of crap!!

I use this as a window on my patio to keep wind and rain out. It works well.

Tried several solutions to close in screened porch in winter. This was the best solution value. Very thick and very clear and very reasonable price. Installed brass hooks around tarp at gourmet locations and used hair bands to stretch between hook and gourmet. Looks very clean and professional. we can now enjoy our porch almost year round.

My third year with the larger version of this product. Bought another smaller one for a smaller space. Survives a cold Canadian winter (-30C), storms and all. Had to reinforce the rivet spots this year with gorilla tape but that should hold her for another few years yet. The integrity of the body of the tarp itself is still flawless. Visibility through it is excellent.

Bought two of these to help shield my chicken coop from the wind and rain. Comes with cable ties and rope, to loop through and tie on. Wanted clear tarpaulin to still allow light in the winter months. It is a little expensive. But a good buy.

Again only time will tellThis clear tarp looks well made and extremely clear. Say "Light Weight" but looks quite heavy duty to me.It fits my needs perfectly to shelter one side of my hot tub whilst still letting the light in. Although clear PVC can be easily split especially along stitching. This one however is designed with a cord reinforcement to take the strain off the stitching.Also really pleased to see included was a good length of quality cord and an ample supply of cable ties to help fix it to my gazebo neither where shown in the description on Amazon but most welcome.Thankyou!

Ordered 2 of these to help semi-enclose a covered patio and keep snow out. Works great for this purpose. Plastic is thick and heavy. Came in great condition with no rips or tears. Eyelet hardware is pretty heavy duty. I was impressed with the overall construction.With noting: 1. Tried the hair-dryer trick to smooth out the wrinkles to no avail. As my photos show, it looks clearer from different angles. Maybe it's possible to do but I doubt it. I spent about 15 minutes on one small section and even though I could feel the plastic "loosening" at that location, I couldn't get the wrinkles to stay away. My feeling is it would take many many hours and probably some type of machine-assisted (clamping) stretching to achieve. 2. Shape and size are certainly not exact and for the larger tarps like the ones I ordered, you can see that multiple sheets of the plastic have been combined to make one. Again, wasn't a big deal for me but manage your expectations.
