These Boards Are Wonderful
Was a little bit weary compared to the reviews left here, so I'll share my honest experience with these boards. Right out of the box, the surface wasn't that great. Kind of like scuff/grease marks on it, but nothing that would effect the usability of these boards. Just sand off the imperfections with some fine grit sandpaper. I personally didn't notice any severely messed up cuts for the edges of the board, maybe others got a bad batch. I'm sure if I measured it that it wouldn't be perfectly square, but I'm not going to nitpick on that. For the actual etching, especially for the first time, I found these boards to work almost perfectly. I used Staedtler's universal permanent markers to make my traces, and it worked surprisingly well (sharpie works ok but can smear off). Almost all the traces were preserved after etching, and I didn't notice any peeling or have trouble with the thickness of the copper. Other than needing to saw the boards into smaller manageable sizes, these boards were very easy to use. Overall, for the price it's a nice and easy introduction to DIY PCB manufacturing and I will be buying more.

Light scratches, but perfect for what I needed
Perfect sizing. They arrived stacked on top of each other so most of them came slightly scratched, not an issue for me personally since I’m using them for large sized traces along with dissolving most of the copper off the board itself. Aside from the light scratches look good and function exactly as expected! Unless you’re planning to make super small tiny traces, I’d recommend them

Good Enough
You get what you pay for--this is a 10-pack of 2.7x4" offcuts from PCB manufacturing, stacked without anything separating them, and put into a thin cardboard box that's scotch-taped shut. They're scratched, gouged occasionally along the edges, stained in places. Will they work? Sure, if your project is fairly simple and you have wide, not-too-complex traces, the surface scratches here and there probably won't affect your functioning. Without putting it under a microscope, none of the scratches look deep enough that they've broken through to the laminate. If you're making something incredibly complex with hair-thin traces and precisely-calculated resistance from component-to-component, well, you probably should spend a little more than 69 cents per board. This is keeping manufacturing waste out of the landfill and getting it to hobbyists that'll use it, so...as my wife said when she married me, "Meh, it'll do."

Great for prototyping and one-off PCBs
Boards arrived in perfect condition without any scratches , pits, or marks. So unlike other reviewers report, I can’t corroborate. They were slightly cut off square, but that’s not a problem since I square them up myself with a bandsaw. In general, I feel that they are a great value.

Good quality
I purchased the wrong boards. I needed double sided and bought single. This was my mistake and while waiting for the right ones to come in, I tested these boards. I cut traces in a finished PCB that is only 25mm in diameter on a Shapeoko 4 XXL. It's such a giant machine to see these boards on but the end result was amazing. As with any blank board, there is going to be the slightest thickness variation but I was able to cut across the entire board with no problems by slightly increasing my depth of cut to account for this and it worked great. I did not use standard PCB design software mainly because the board had to be so compact that it was difficult for me to get the design to fit. I ended up doing the actual design work in Carbide Create. I did not use board leveling so instead surfaced a base piece of MDF to hold the board and then did depth checks in all four corners. I would run the depth test until the bit cut the copper in all four corners and then run the cut at that depth. It worked perfectly. Now waiting for the right boards to get here so I can test my holders for the back side cut.

Quality boards at acceptable price.
I bought these to etch for small circuit boards and for construction of handmade HO turnouts. They are cut to uniform size with square corners. The copper surface is securely bonded to the laminate and except for some minor surface scratches is solid. It cuts easily on a small table saw so I'll have a supply of ties for my turnouts in a short time at low cost.
