Easy to put together, apparently sold composter
Very easy to install. Feels solid. The only suggestion I would have is to provide bottom for the composter. Or it could be easier for other animals (rat, gopher) to get in. I placed the bottom part of my old composter to shield it.

Put together, now what?
Directions for putting together but nothing on what to do now. Not good for first time composters To the internet I go and maybe find a YouTube that can get me next steps. Disappointing actually

Simple to assemble, simple to use
I used a spinning composter for a while and IMO this basic design (just a plastic box that is open on the bottom) is far better for most folks. The spinners take over an hour of (frustrating) time to assemble. You can put this together in 5 minutes without looking at the instructions. With the spinners, I found it almost impossible to keep the compost dry enough and you really have to search out sources of brown (leaves, cardboard, etc.). With this one? Man, I just dump food scraps in there and when I can find some browns I add them. Honestly I should add more browns than I do but it's not a disaster like it is with the spinners because it's open to the ground so it doesn't get nearly as slimy. Being open to the ground makes it pseudo-vermicomposting. Looks-wise you can just kinda hide it ninja style in the back of your yard and it's just (literally) a black box so pretty unobtrusive. It is for sure flimsy but as far as I can tell doesn't really harm the functionality. The lid sorta clicks shut but I think the odds are about 99% that eventually the plastic tabs break and then I'll just put a brick or something on top, so not a big deal but if you really want something more durable and better looking just make your own compost box out of wood probably.Btw, this is basically a copy/paste of a review for the same product sold by a different company. There seems to be several companies selling the exact same thing (you can tell from the pix easily enough). I would recommend just buying the cheapest one. I paid $25 less for this one than the other one which I bought a few months ago and they are EXACTLY the same.

did not hold up well in Texas sun
so, this does work but I had to do a couple of things:1. it is hot in Texas, which is good for the composting part but not for plastic. I was putting some fairly heavy duty composting materials in the bin to start with and the walls came apart from the weight inside. I emptied it out (yuck) and washed it to start over. I clipped it back together and used gorilla tape to wrap around the top and bottom and am not using the dense materials any longer. this was a bummer because it was one of the main reasons i purchased it.2. I followed the guidance about putting some weight on top and the top warped in the heat in one day. I removed the rocks and it still closes fine ( I can hear the snap.) I changed to a brick to use on the front edge and it is fine now.3. BUT you also have to worry about the critters that can dig under it. I have it up against the fence so I put a piece of hardy board between the fence and the box. I also had to put bricks all along the bottom and double layered on the front just to make sure the little door could not be scratched open. If I had known before I started refilling it, I would also suggest a layer of bricks around the inside perimeter before starting. I have a relatively small yard and it did attract rats so I have stopped being able to put food in it until I get rid of my "pet" rats.Overall, it is working with the limited amount of material I can put in there because it is nice and hot here but I really wanted to have more versatility in what I could compost. I has been a pain but I am going to stick it out a while longer.

So far, so good
I purchased this compost bin to replace a hodgepodge of wood pallets that I had L-bracketed together several years ago. So far (about six weeks), I'm happy with it.It's VERY easy to assemble (and I'm a DIY klutz). There are, however, a few things I should mention. When I first assembled it, the lid "snapped" into place. It no longer does. That doesn't really bother me, as the "snap" certainly wouldn't have been strong enough to keep critters out (e.g, raccoons, etc.). But then my former "open" compost rarely got bothered, and if those critters wanted to steal something, it may be better than given them an easy way out--and in.And actually, as for the lid, opening it to add fresh materials releases a flood of flying insects. I now actually leave it cracked a little to let them come and go.I haven't tried to use the bottom "door" to get at the compost. As I mentioned, I've only been using it a short while, so not much useable compost is likely to be there. But at this point, I like it. It's stable, easy to assemble, and, well, it's a composter--how excited can that be?

I think it's worth it
It's huge for the money you paid for it. The quality is good and sturdy. Just make sure you match up the right sides before you do anything.
