Soda-Club CO2 Adapter

I bought one for myself and one for my boyfriend, who also uses a SodaStream. This gadget is expensive, yes, but I believe it will pay for itself quickly. SodaStream refills are so expensive, and it really kind of made me a bit resentful that I bought a SodaStream to save money, but had to pay $15 each time to refill the tank. I ended up buying LaCroix and other fizzy water all the time just to avoid refilling that tank. Now I can refill a much bigger tank for $5. The SodaMod makes the SodaStream save me money, finally. Easy to use. Watch one of the many videos out on Youtube that show you how to use it. I am glad I decided to make the investment.

Easy to use, solidly built and works exactly as described. I bought the large SodaStream carbonator and ran into problems getting refills. Now with the SodaMod adapter and a 24 oz paintball CO2 tank I can get refills easily for $4.50 at my local Dick's Sporting Goods store. And the fifth one is free which is bonus. The SodaMod is very easy to use. Comes with instructions as well as the e-mail address of the inventor and there's a video online. I had it hooked up and working in a couple of minutes and have had no problems with it. The unit's not cheap but will pay for itself after a number of refills depending on several factors (tank size, use, whether you own a tank already, etc.) The best payback, however, is in the freedom of not being held hostage by SodaStream over their refills.

This adapter works perfectly on my 20oz paintball canister. The instructions (and Youtube video) are clear and precise and the setup/installation of this adapter on your paintball canister is very easy. My soda stream can take the larger 24oz refills, so I got a 20oz paintball canister and am able to refill them for $5. The only reason I am taking away one star is the insane price of this adapter. Yes, it is well made; however, the only reason the seller is able to maintain this price is because (as far as I am aware) he is the only one offering this product. Having said that, I certainly do recommend this product. One caveat that has nothing to do with the quality of this product: Here is S. California, when purchasing CO2 refills, I noticed several stores will now ask if you intend to use the CO2 for a paintball gun or a soda stream. If you say you want to use it for your soda stream, they will either (a) charge you significantly more, or (b) refuse to refill your canister. I do not believe they use a different source for the CO2 if you are refilling it for your soda stream.

I was originally hesitant on buying this because it seemed expensive. So glad I took the plunge. It will pay for itself soon enough. It's built well so it should last a long time. As long as you have a reliable source to refill your CO2 tanks you should be happy with using this product so make sure you locate that first. I get mine filled at Academy Sports for $3 a refill. I bought a couple of CO2 bottles(check which size bottle fits your SodaStream model) so I wouldn't have to make too many trips to get them refilled. I suggest weighing your empty CO2 bottle on a kitchen scale before getting it filled the first time and after the refill so you know how much your C02 place puts in each bottle. My first experience getting them refilled the bottles were not very heavy. The employee at Academy who filled them didn't really know what he was doing and shorted me by about half because he didn't purge the bottle to chill it before fully filling it. Luckily there are two stores in town and the other one has knowledgeable employees that do it correctly. Worth the investment if you have a reliable C02 vendor.

Got the adaptor.. had bought a new 24 oz paintball tank put it on .nothing, manage to unscrew the adjustment tried again nothing. Re adjusted the valve the other way nothing does not work Unless they provide instructions I'm assuming that this device will not work for my Soda Stream machine and will return it

I purchased the SodaMod and a 24 oz tank at the same time. The SodaMod i received is apparently defective. The allen wrench simply passes all the way through the hole at the top. There is nothing to adjust at all. I emailed the manufacturer and got no response. I called them several times on several days during their business hours and no one ever answered. Returned item. Will have to find an alternative now for a a filled CO2 tank

This adapter allows you to use normal paintball type CO2 tanks with a SodaStream system, which will save you the hassle of returning the old tank and getting a new one, but most of all it will save you money on the over priced SodaStream tanks. This works exactly as described, and will save you money if you are a big SodaStream user. It is solid, and very well made. I have had mine for several years now with no problems. It is kind of expensive however.

This adapter works exactly as advertised, and I'm glad to be able to use this with a 20oz CO2 cylinder. After purchasing however, I believe that the adapter is severely overpriced. I most likely would not purchase again, or recommend to anyone but the hardest of hard-core SodaStream users - they might one day get their money's worth from this product.
