Extraordinary Book for anyone reading in esoteric studies for self-transformation.The Revised 2nd edition of The Art of Stalking Parallel Perception, the first book by Lujan Matus, brings to bear ten years of questions and feedback from students and readers and incorporates some new information and very useful clarifications.From the first page the author takes the reader into the alternate realms and so starts the biographical tales of his (and the reader’s) learning. Part one covers mostly key interactions with his teachers who are quoted in their own words as well as some new parables with clarifying explanations. Part two mainly imparts and unpacks theory, and has question and answers sections.In terms of theme the book “magnifies the essence of the ancient wisdom traditions in a functional, non-dogmatic format that speaks directly to the heart”. Lujan provides various key details, but goes further to highlight the role of the heart as an organ of perception at the root of seeing.Working with this book continues to be an immensely valuable experience. While I feel everyone should read it, those pursuing self-actualisation on any path will find a gateway to deep, pervasive and relevant insights rarely articulated in words, or able to so elegantly introduce one to oneself and the realities we forge our path in. This reality-check alone is worth the study –but that is just one aspect.The text is written in unusual language and visual metaphor in places which forced me out of my standard reading trance into paying a new type of attention. One-pass readers would not do the text or themselves justice. This is not about reading more things into the text, but rather an assimilation of principles over time that become functional in perception to enable deeper insights as one engages the material again.The author is and writes as a seer, not as someone who just knows about or studied with them, so there is no dabbling in the nice, only addressing the necessary. His focus is not on a map or a specific route, but rather on the compass and the skill of navigation.I don’t know how the author managed to pack so many layers into the text. I guess the ‘parallel perception’ in the title is the clue here. The book’s ability to entice hidden and unknown layers within myself still astounds me. The text speaks directly to aspects beneath my social persona which enables them not just to be recognized and become self-aware, but also to have a space and means to pierce the guarded veil of the jealously guarded personality.What the book is not : There is no push for followers or workshops, no new beliefs, dogma and no merchandising. There was no publishing house pushing for a mass-market, best-seller format with ten easy steps or quotable platitudes to generate warm and fuzzy feelings or reinforce the very idea of yourself that must fall away to allow real change. Direct, honest and hard-hitting the text offers what you would encounter with a true teacher in person.Recommended for: You. Anyone seeking a realistic approach in their active spirituality –the information is path-independent.Conclusion: I thank the author from the bottom of my heart for what he brought to my attention and what continues to unfold as a result. I cannot imagine similar value bypassing any reader willing to pay attention.

Words fail to even vaguely begin describing this masterpiece. This is not a book about magic, this book IS magic.I would recommend this as the first of Lujan's books to read, and would further recommend that you read absolutely all of his books, as they are that good.This is a sublime fusion of Toltec, Buddhist and Taoist philosophy. Nothing else I've ever read comes close to the magnitude of what is written here.This is the real deal. After you read it you may find yourself buying a bunch to give to your friends too.Many parts of this book seem more like an "activation" rather then as something to be intellectually understood.I particularly like the audio books, and recommend getting those in addition to the paperbacks.Lujan's work provides great insights into the works of Carlos Castaneda, and I'd say are essential in the library of any Toltec student. Certainly I'd say they are vital to read before attempting a serious application of the Toltec techniques of old.If I were limited to being able to only recommend 1 spiritual book to people, this would be that book.Prepare to have your world shaken up...

My library contains 40+ books on human psychology and personal development. Most of them contain little ideas that would make you say "Oh wow, that's a cool idea."Reading the book I linked below literally caused a physiological changes in my body. In other words, this book literally caused me to "trip out."As this book revealed many profound truths about the human condition, one after another, I felt a humongous pressure in the back of my skull, which remained with me for about 30 minutes.In the midst of this strange pressure in my head, i moved towards the water cooler to grab a cup of water. As I moved closer to the water cooler, my field of perception liquidity moved back and forth, vibrating from side to side with increasing speed, which was then followed by a profound state of mental clarity which lasted for several minutes.This book reveals many profound truths about to the human condition which will completely change your perception of life and the way you live as a human being.Since coming into contact with this book, I have quit smoking, drinking, and drugs among other preoccupations that deteriorated my health and waylaid my circumstances.After you read it, there's no turning back.

Only 75 pages into this book and I feel strongly enough to write this review. This book is for those who know from direct experience what the spiritual path really is. It is for warriors who are fighting the battle for inner silence, which is the battle for freedom and the only battle worth fighting, the only battle you have a chance to win.I wouldn't recommend this book if you don't already meditate, and this book won't be as powerful if you're not at the point of the path where you understand that you have to constantly fight for silence in your daily life at all times, 24 hours a day, not just when formally meditating. If you are at this point and you know exactly what I am saying, please get this book. The powerful intent of this book is to help you feel your true self more closely, and to conquer the lower self as you grow in understanding and power.If you happen to read this Lujan, thank you for such a powerful teaching and gift. Interesting remix of Carlos Castenada and others who have written about their experiences with the Naghual consciousness. I found the language and syntax hard to understand, but I learned a few things and mostly enjoyed the book.

This review is expressed through the heart so words are few. Lujan Matus is a Master Shaman and Teacher offering these written words as an invitation to see, hear and feel for yourself the wisdom through his own experiences. Lujan's teachings highlighted self examination pointing to areas to investigate thoroughly for a fulfilling ride in this life's potentiality. Observed these teachings/experiences on how they reflected wisdom in my own life's journey feeling the energies moving and adjusting within opening to more awareness. This information and teachings were further explored within my own dreams and meditations. Within these pages there where answers to many questions and validated personal experiences which felt very uplifting and for which I am grateful. It was a gift to visit the multi-dimensional benefactors of Lujan Matus and take in what resonated within myself while realizing that all is relevant. Appreciated the surprises revealed throughout these teachings; truly enjoyed reading this book and is highly recommended.
