FlexiFreezeCooling Collar - Neck Cooling Ice Wrap for People, Orange

Poor execution
Pros: Comes with a few strips, so you can keep a strip in bag of ice, and change it out once first strip has melted. // Stays cool pretty long time because of insulated material. // Strong secure velcro.Cons: Bulky // Poor flexibility due to good insulation material // Ridiculous adverstisment logo makes you look like dork in front of the ladies. Total dealbreaker. I cannot get laid wearing this. // The poor flexibity makes it stick out from my neck, rather than hugging my neck //Tip: Do what other reviewer said and trash the outer layer and wrape strips in a bandana. Also, I find it works best as a headband, because it only stays close to neck if you wrap it too tight around your throat.

Cooling.
A friend suggested this to me. Now personally I have tried a few of these cooling things and none worked. This worked like a typically ice pack just targeting the right area. So you can be hands free and not have to fight gravity with ice. Now is it magic no. You got a few tiny pocket ices that sit on you. The hotter it is the quicker it melts. However it is better than nothing. Especially if you get two and have the inserts ready. Will it get you to sleep? Depends on what you are suffering from and how heat sensitive you are. It isn’t magic but it works for me in a pinch for migraines and during a Lupus flare.

Not sure why people don’t love it
I was reading a lot of reviews about how stiff and uncomfortable this was so I’m really not sure if they changed the product or what. The one I received is very soft and really the only complaint I could have is the ice does not last long enough….but hey…it’s ice so what you expect haha. I find it to be very comfortable and a 5 star product. I I have just purchased a second to keep at work.

Cool
Helpful for surgery staff overheating when scrubbing in and decontam staff in plastic PPE

Helpful for lupus
Lupus patient with and outdoor job. Best way so far to keep my neck cool.Overall helps with keeping my whole body a little cooler. The ice is almost too cold at first but I start with it outside my shirt collar then move it against my skin later when it’s mostly melted. I got about 45-60 min out of an ice pack. It is really nice to have two packs so I can switch them out. More ice inserts could keep you cool all day.Gel packs are heavy and want to slip off and tend to cause an unnatural posture and neck pain because there is no way to get them to stay put without choking yourself. Other “cooling” products use evaporation so they can be soggy, drippy and don’t work well in humid environments.Room for improvement- the Velcro holds the ice very securely. So much that it is kind of a pain to switch out the ice packs. This Velcro can irritate my skin after a while too. The logo is HUGE so it’s hard to be subtle about using cooling equipment which embarrassed me but probably is nbd. The ice wants to twist around to the front but that’s just gravity doing it’s thing.
