Got for my girlfriend, she loves it!
She really enjoys cooking but never really enjoyed the prep part of it. She had a junk, 8in chef knife that just felt clunky and unbalanced. As a huge cutlery nerd myself, I've come to really enjoy the prep part and I figured I could do the same for her. This knife was perfect. Small enough that she feels more nimble with it. The blade is excellent. Sharp and durable so I don't have to sharpen it as often. And the geometry gives her the confidence using it that she didn't feel with the last knife. It has excellent balance and no heel so I can sharpen it with a single whetstone without needing to grind away any metal!

One of My Most Used Knives
A little while ago I retired my 45-year-old Chicago Cutlery 8" chef's knife. I replaced it with an 8" Zwilling chef's knife. I like the Zwilling, but it is much heavier than my Chicago Cutlery chef's knife. I saw the 7" Zwilling Pro Slim Chef's Knife on sale and decided to take a chance.Nothing against my 8" Zwilling chef's knife, but the 7" slim chef's knife is now my favorite chef's knife. It's slim and light enough for delicate work, but more than tough enough for average chef's knife chores. If you're only going to have two good knives, this chef's knife and a good paring knife would serve you well.I am afraid, however, that my Japanese Santoku knife is getting jealous of its "new neighbor" in the knife block.

nice upgrade
I've had many of the cheaper knives like kai and even mercer, but decided to spend a bit more to see if there's a difference. Right out of the box you can feel that this slim knife is pretty well balanced. I like that it's super sharp and is nice to hold in the hand. slicing thru tomatoes, potatoes and even carrots are a breeze. Meets cut like butter. I have not sharpened it yet but hopefully i wont have to for quite a bit of time. I have not see any rusting so far but I usually wipe down the blade before setting it aside.

Incredible craftsmanship
What an incredible, ergonomic, well designed knife. I am around 6'2" and wasn't sure that the smaller knife would be right for me, but I was incredibly impressed at how well fit in the hand and how beautifully it slices.

same premium quality but size format design just ok
have a 9” chefs knife and bought this not realizing it is the same size as my 7” santoku — functionally very similar toowas wanting in reality a 6” and ended up keeping this but only wusthof has 6” chefs knives at the moment so i got that too — am using that much moresmall veg etc are great with that onebut for general use an 8” or 9” is a better and more versatile knife

great feel and extremely confortable
I have a knife collection, I ditched my japanese knives, this line is the most confortable I have ever used. I have the 8 inch and the 7 inch, very similar.
