Best cat carrier I've owned!
My kitty and I made a cross-country move that included a couple of weeks in hotels and two flights of several hours. This carrier was perfect, in our opinions. She doesn't like being in any carrier usually, and will spend the first 15 minutes trying to get out (totally understandable). She picked at it with her claws and teeth, but it held up perfectly. She didn't damage it, and it didn't hurt her either. I used some carabiner clips on each of the zippered exits to be sure she couldn't push her way out. They may not have been necessary, but they added security. Eventually, she settled down. Then after she got used to the carrier, she was very cozy in it. Even took a nap on her "patio", and went into it a few times of her own free will. For me, it was easy to carry, and the stiff floor at its bottom helped her feel more secure when I carried her in it. It was the right size to fit under the airline seat in front of me without having to squish it in, though without any room to spare between the outside of the carrier and the space under the seat. It was easy to put her in.We could see each other easily through the mesh. I didn't fold out the sides while she was in it, so she wouldn't mistake all that extra room for a potty spot. The snaps that hold the lining to the sides weren't tight. I'd rather this be the case than they be too tight. It's like a break-away feature. My kitty got behind the side liner in her first attempts to get out, and it didn't trap her there because the snaps were able to release for her.The carrier is the best one I've ever owned, and I recommend it to anyone needing a quality and safe carrier.

Seems sturdy, looks nice, kitty loved it at first sight!
This just got delivered and I set it up for my kitties right away. Our baby Juju is snoozing in it in the photo and he is a little over 8 pounds for size reference. It does need the sides zipped up in order to be sturdy, but that’s just the nature of the convenient fold-away design. Once they are, it easily and securely stays up right.I love how the side fold down to make extra room. This will definitely come in handy for car rides and travel. The bottom part is removable and very soft and snuggly. My kitty has been napping in it from the moment I put it out. Definitely kitty approved!

Perfect cat carrier for car or airline travel
Perfect carrier for mid- to large-size cat (or small dog). Three side fold down, expands area for pet to stretch out, move and look around, get more ventilation while remaining secure in carrier (required in airports and on aircraft). Hand straps or shoulder strap make carrying easy. Pocket on one end for brush, misc items. One long side has side-strap to loop over roller suitcase extension handle, for hauling long distance through airport. Very versatile product, good quality. I transported my cat over 3 flights, 18-hour trip, fit mostly under seat at my feet (enough for flight crew’s stowage checks), but definitely did not leave much room for my feet. At least the cat was comfortable… mostly — got antsy the last hour, I don’t recommend trips over 15 hrs. Highly recommend this carrier even for car trips to vet or to visit friends and family.

Approved for Long Roadtrip w/ Giant Fluffy Cat
My cat, like most cats, hates any kind of travel. So when we had to make multiple long road trips (3000+ miles total) I wanted something that would let him stretch out and turn around. For reference he is about 11 lbs and a long fluffy Maine Coon. This carrier is purr-fect! :) He was comfortable set up on a flat surface with the back seats down, and was just fine hanging out when the sides were down. When the sides were zipped up, he was a little squished and annoyed, but as soon as the sides were unzipped and the carrier was on solid ground, he immediately stretched out and seemed better. I've used it for vet appointments as well and the vet techs were impressed by how chill he was, they called it a "Cat-ilac" and managed to do an entire appointment with him in the carrier feeling safe the whole time!I knocked off a star on sturdiness because the base is not solid. The dog stepped on the carrier a couple times during the road trip and it got stuck squished to one side -- but it was easy enough to pop back up with no damage. I think it is meant to be a little squishy. The zippers sometimes get stuck if they are not all the way down (kitty managed to unzip it from the inside) but it seems like it will hold up for a while. Overall highly recommend!

Mesh is strong- buttons are not. Zipper unusable.
I'll give it a 4.5Pros:- The mesh is stronger than the expandable carriers of other brands on Amazon that I found.- The expandable part expands to the floor.- It is American Airlines approved (18 x 11 x 11 maximum dimensions).Cons:- The buttons that are used to clip the padding to the walls of the carrier broke immediately. They clicked into place, and then when I pulled the padding to free it, the button disconnected from the padding, so now that flap just hangs there unsupported and unattached to the sides of the carrier while the detached button is still clipped to its other half on the carrier wall (View 1st and 2nd images). Makes me worried that my kitten will somehow detach the other buttons from the padding and play with them, turning them into a choking hazard.- The zippers are fine, except for one- it's literally sewn into the seam and I can't free it to move and make use of it (3rd image).Overall I decided to stick with this brand and perhaps just get a replacement because of the strong mesh and because it is actually airline approved (by American Airlines at least), unlike many other expandable carriers that say they are but aren't.
