Incredible device ... working perfectly after 6 years relentless use.
I bought this amp 'clamp' 6 years ago in the UK after becoming frustrated at the problems associated with normal Amp clamps.I use it exclusively for car diagnostics . This device will enable you to gain access to the wiring that you need to measure. Conventional Amp clamps will access the main battery earth conductor and frankly , very little else due to their sheer bulk .The Kyoritsu has the perfect range ... most clamps lower range is about 400 Amps !!! ... Only really useful for measuring starter motor draw. When was the last time you needed to do that ?The things we measure these days are very low amps . Parasitic drain , fuel pump draw , etc.This tool has been used several times a day for 6 years outside in the rain and freezing temperatures as I work for one of the UK's major roadside breakdown companies.~It has worked perfectly during this time and is consistent and accurate . It is entirely accurate when measuring current of less than One amp.I have forced the jaws over cables too large for the jaws on many occasions and they've never cracked or broken.Batteries last for months even with my demanding use and it's as robust as a Panasonic ToughbookConventional Amp clamps for Automotive use are a joke . This product is unique and very special for any Automotive tech.
