Oh how I dread buying iPad covers. They're big. Bulky. Weigh a ton. Take the "fun" out of carrying around the latest by weighing more than your car. I took a chance on the DTTO case. Low price - cause for concern. Already available for the latest 10.2 version - another red flag. Threw my arms up and pressed BUY NOW. And it delivered today. Delivered in being Lightweight. Delivered in FITTING PERFECTLY. Delivered in VALUE for the price. WOW. WOW! WOWWWW! Frankly shocked how awesome this is. I'd LOVE this to come in other colors than black, but HEY - this is awesome and I'm super happy. THANK YOU!

This is a very nice IPad case. It doesn’t leave finger prints or mar up like the other brand I had.It is very nice in appearance and is of good value.The only complaint I have (And it is a minor one), is that the case pulls away from the IPad when you are holding it on the edges.I complained to the DTTO Customer Service in which they replied the next day.I gave them my opinion of why this happens. They thanked me and sent me a replacement.I was very impressed of how they stand by their product and have learned to hold my IPad differently.Thank you!

This case is a bit poor. It has a very cheap look and feel, which is to be expected given its price point.My iPad 8th generation device fits poorly in the case. The four corners are fine, but the straight sides don’t grip the device at all. This results in the side pulling away from the iPad if you lift or hold it from the sides.Also, if you wrap the front cover flat around the back and lay the device down, one side of the device sits higher up than the other. It doesn’t lay flat.The material itself is quite sturdy, so if you’re looking for a quick, cheap cover for your iPad and the poor fit doesn’t bother you then this may be okay for you.I tend to keep my devices for long periods of time. I’m going directly from my six-year-old iPad Air 2 to the iPad 8th gen. I had the Apple branded version of this case, the Smart Case, which fit the iPad Air 2 like a glove, laid perfectly flat, and looked and felt great. Yes, it was quite a bit more expensive than this case, but worth every penny. It’s a shame Apple doesn’t produce that case anymore and no third-party manufacturers have stepped up with a premium version.

Sloppy fit makes it uncomfortable to hold. If I hold the iPad on its long edge, the silicone rolls off the edge as per the photo.That said, 3 stars because it does let me use it as a stand well enough, and the iPad's eventual place in my daily life will be as a secondary display for my macbook using sidecar.

UPDATED: We did not know that we needed to change a setting on the iPad for the SLEEP function to work. Once we made that adjustment everything was fine!Prev reviewIt fits well, does not feel/look cheap. The biggest drawback is that it does NOT put our iPad to sleep when closed. We are quite displeased about this drawback because it was a major part of our choosing that model. We can deal with it, though, because we don’t like the hassle of returns and we can just put the iPad to sleep manually.

I recently purchased the new 10.2" iPad and was very disappointed that Apple only sells a cover for it (no protection for the back of the iPad). I looked at several different models and decided that this product was closest to what I was looking for. I have been pleasantly surprised with this product. It is very similar to the Apple produced cover I owned for my previous generation iPad and it does a great job of protecting my new iPad.

I do like this case, but the sides don't really fit like they should. When you are using the tablet if you put any pressure on the side of it, which is how I tend to hold it, the case peels back. I'm always afraid the tablet will pop out of the case and fall. I'm an adult so I only use it when I'm sitting down so it's served its purpose for now. Sadly because it fits so loose I'll be looking for a different case. I for sure wouldn't suggest this case if you have little kids or want to use your tablet somewhere besides on your lap while sitting because the chances of it falling and breaking in this case are pretty high.

I will give it this: it fits the iPad perfectly. No issues getting the iPad in it and so far the cover works as expected. However, its durability over the long term is questionable. The cover seems like it may stretch over time and expose your iPad to a drop. I have a similar one from a different manufacturer for my older iPad and it has lasted several years. I only hope this will as well.

Very pleased with this case. It fits very well and acts as a stand for the iPad.
