MP0609 3.1Amp Motorcycle USB Port SAE to USB Adapter

Easy to install. I have been using this on my bike for about a year and it has worked well. I use it to power an on board dashcam for my motorcycle. It works well. I will purchase another one for my next bike.

Works great, easy to install.

Great quality easy to install, wires are nice and thick with jackets that seem durable. The only things I don't really like is the crimped connectors that attach to the battery. They are super flimsy and thin. They are not usable. If you are planning on wiring this to the battery directly, I would replace the connectors. If you do wire it directly make sure you disconnect it. It will drain the battery within a few days of not riding. Which leads me to my other problem, the connector that is used to disconnect the plug, is extremely tight which is good for the waterproofing but depending on where you install it, it may become hard to unplug. I like the fact that you can use the plug for a battery tender but I would have liked to see a toggle switch to disconnect the power as opposed unplugging it. If you don't use it for the battery tender then I would recommend wiring it to the tail light or something else that comes on with the key. None of the above problems are deal breakers for me but keep it in mind if you were looking for a plug and play type thing. Overall it is a great quality item at a great price.

Installed on a 95 XR650. Works well. Just barely long enough to stretch from the battery to the neck, if routed along the inside of the frame but it works good

There are a couple of things I want on every motorcycle I own: -A cellphone holder so I can use GPS -A charger so I can keep using my phone GPS without worrying about battery life With these two items I can jump on the bike, ride for as long as my butt and my gas tank will allow, and not worry about running out of phone battery in the middle of nowhere. This unit is dead simple to install. The ring terminals go on the battery posts, the wire gets routed to the front of the bike, and the outlet is placed somewhere you can plug in a charging cable and have it reach your phone. I used 3M double-sided tape to bond it to the triple tree in a convenient spot. The charger body is very tiny so it's easy to find a place for it. I then looped up all the slack in the cable and zip-tied it to a nearby wiring harness to keep things from dangling. The charger has worked fine. It keeps my old and power-hungry phone topped up during riding. I like the fact that the wiring harness has a fuse installed near the battery. If a wire chafes through and grounds out on the frame, it'll pop the fuse. I won't have to worry about a smoking wire running the entire length of the bike underneath my plastic fairings (or near another wiring harness). For less than $10, this charger is well worth buying.

Ordered this for my dual sport Honda CRF230L. I go on long rides on and off road and needed a way to keep my phone and GPS charged. It was easy to install and worked well for a month. My only critique on the install would be that there is no on/off switch and this unit does draw a small amount of current when not being used, which will lead to a dead battery over a long period of time. After a month of use a few times a week, the charging port would only sometimes charge my phone and then failed completely. I tested the output and it read 3.01 VDC and wouldn't output any current to my phone or GPS because the voltage was so low. I returned the product for a replacement. The replacement seems to work fine so far. I'll update in the future. Hoping the first one was a lemon. Attached is a picture of the old unit putting out low voltage, the new unit putting out the correct voltage and the unit installed on the bike putting out the proper voltage and adequate charging current to one of my devices. Some of you may ask why the unit is only outputting 1.39 amps when it's rated for 3.1 amps. Devices (such as phones, GPS and tablets) are per-programmed to only take a certain amount of current. Some phones/tablets may be able to take the full 3.1 amps. My phone will not. You can have a charger that will put out 100 amps, but if the phone only takes 2 amps, that's all its going to draw.

Great cheap product, works perfectly, cables are only just long enough to fit my DRZ400 as the battery is back under the rear fender.
