Glamorous Barbie with chic aqua pool attire
This is a glamorous and chic styled Barbie. The fashion is pool chic but looks like an evening gown as well. She has dark brown hair that ends mid-back due to the large curls at the back. The curls are held in place with stiffening product which would probably brush out. Her hair is parted on the side with the wings on both sides twisted into a modified ponytail at the back of her head. The front of her hair is pulled into a low ponytail at the back of her head. She has multi-tone brown eyes, dark eyebrows as well as painted on eyelashes. Her eyeshadow is metallic gold. Her lips are a frosted nude and her blush is neutral and natural looking. Her mouth is closed and she looks thoughtful. Her face mold is known as Karl. The body of this doll light brown and is articulated – which now includes knee articulation that is more in line with the Made to Move Barbie. That means she has a less elegant looking knee articulation than older “The Look” dolls. As this doll's fashion does not show the knee, the new style articulation is not as noticeable as with dolls which short skirts. This body style also has a larger more defined calf than the previous dolls. She has articulation at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. She has slim ankles and feet made for high heels. Her hands have mostly divided fingers with only two (middle and ring fingers) on each hand molded together and with a mauve nail polish on fingers and toes. Her clothing is quite chic for spending the day poolside. She has gold hoop earrings that are easily removable. Her dress is two layers of aqua attached to a gold plastic halter. I wish that the halter had been made of fabric as the plastic gives the dress a less expensive look. Both layers of the dress are aqua and the dress is rather loose rather than form-fitting and pools at her feet in an almost train-like effect. The underskirt is a soft and silky nylon while the over skirt is a sheer matte organza-type fabric. The dress has a side slit on the left hand side that reaches just above the knee. The dress attaches at the back via the neck halter and a snap at the waist. She has gold peep toe stiletto heels and a gold cuff bracelet.Other items included are a stand, a cell phone, a metallic gold purses that opens and closes, a lipstick case in gold metallic, and a container of blush that also opens and closes. The blush is merely a stick-on label and the container does not have a mirror. This accessory could have been improved. The chair I use for photographs is not included – it is something I have had for a while.I've recently started adding newer Barbies to the collection I have had for years. I used to customize dolls for my daughters and am now back buying various Barbie dolls for my grandchildren. The dolls today are so diverse in their nature and look, I probably won't be doing as much customization as I did in the past.I'm really pleased that Mattel has included snaps on this doll's clothing. It is the type of quality I expect for a special doll (versus a child's play version.) My last doll in this line had hook and loop closures and it was out of synch with the higher quality fashion.

Regal Beauty
I find this gorgeous doll to be more than just "Pool Chic", she seems more like an exotic princess from some far away land. She actually reminds me of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. This is exactly the type of doll I would have loved to own growing up. To begin with, her face is absolutely stunning with beautiful brown eyes. Her hair is a lush, dark brown color which comes in curled style held together with gel. The gel can be washed out to make the hair nice and soft. Her dress is fit for royalty in a lovely turquoise color adorned with a gold necklace accessory attached to the top of the dress. This beauty also comes with gold hoop earrings, a gold bracelet, and gold shoes that add style to her graceful look. Her other accessories include a gold purse, a gold cellphone, a lipstick, and a little makeup case. The doll is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knees. Personally, I think this was a great buy. Whether she is going to the pool or to a fancy dinner, this Barbie is definitely stylish.

Fabulous doll and a good price.
I got this as a gift for my niece. She is a beautiful doll. It's great she's articulated and she is super pretty with soft features and gorgeous hair. Although its a bit gluey once you brush it it's fine. Her dress and accessories are very cool. I would recommend this doll highly. She comes with a stand also. I was also very impressed to get her so quickly. A week earlier.

Wowzaaaaa Perfecttttt
This doll is immaculate. He ha the most precious face! It has been used on other collector dolls recently such as Andy Warhol and The Look Sweet Pea but this one has to be my favorite!! Her hair is the best quality I've ever had on a Barbie that didn't have a reroot. Her outfit is made of top of the line fabric and her accessories are amazing (gold iPhone) she deserves 10 stars instead of 5 #perfect

YES to the tan skin and her aqua maxi dress
From an adult collector's perspective: She is one of my favorites with this New Look line. One, her dress style and color; 2, her skintone and the gold details and accessories; 3, obviously she's articulated. Now the criticisms: her doll stand does not accommodate the doll's height! I have the waist holder thing pushed all the way to top of the stand and her knees still remain bent. Next, not a big fan of the face, it's pretty, but it's too playline compared to the style of the fashion?! I really miss the rooted eyelashes.

A beautiful doll. Her hair is soft and lightly curled ...
A beautiful doll. Her hair is soft and lightly curled and her dress is lovely. The dress can be removed and put on other barbies, though her shoes have no way to be taken off reliably. Doll is very light and hollow feeling but has held up so far. Her stand broke very easily. Other wise i am super pleased.

Very disappointing
My doll arrived with dots of paint on her nose and other parts of her face. She had scraps of extra plastic at all joints, worse than any I've seen even on play dolls. Her arms also looked and felt extremely cheap compared to other articulated Barbies. Looking closer at her body I found imperfections in the plastic itself where you could see random black things through it. The box was also very low quality and the stand even ripped away from the side in transit. I have the Barbie Look Sweet Tea set and the quality was much better in every way; even the box was nicer. I am returning the doll as I'm not interested in paying double the price of a play doll for half the quality.

Mattel needs to step up their quality control
Beautiful doll, but what a big disappointment to find an ugly seam running down her leg from knee to ankle. $5 "pink box" Barbie dolls found at Dollar General don't have these ugly seams running down their legs, so WHY isn't quality control better with these so-called "collector" dolls? Sadly returning this one.
