So far so good!
I’ve only had this case a week, so this is just my initial thoughts and I’ll add an update after a few months of really using it. This case seems very sturdy for a very thin case. It’s not bulky like an otterbox, but it seems to be just as protective. I’ve dropped my phone a few times, once on a ceramic tile floor and the phone with case bounced!! It hit just right on the corner and the phone bounced. The volume buttons work nicely, as does the power button. One thing I noticed, is with iPhones, when you purchase an app or a song, you need to push the power button twice. This at first seemed tricky, because the buttons seem stiff to push. Hopefully that will become easier with time. Now, my favorite feature is the finger grips on the case (third photo). When I’ve dropped my phone, it’s because it was sitting on my leg. I have yet to drop the phone while holding it. The 4th photo, shows the extra protection on the corners. As of right now, I love this case. The only odd thing was a slight chemical smell, when I took it out of the package. But that smell has pretty much dissipated. I will update this after really using it!

Super grippy! Also saved my phone from a 3 foot drop with no problem
The grooves on the side of the case is not a gimmick! Combined with the textured rubbery case, it really does a great job staying in your hand. The case is a durable appearing rubbery/plastic case. It snaps on easily and securely. There's enough clearance on the front that I was able to put on a glass protector without a problem. The buttons are easy to press, and the cutouts are big enough for the charger cable to go through. It's also a magsafe case so it'll work with your magsafe charger if you use one (I prefer to use old fashioned cable since it charges much faster that way). I was afraid that the light grey color would stain easily or get dirty, but after a couple weeks of use, it still looks new. I accidentally pushed my phone off of the kitchen counter while in this case and watched as it landed with a heart sickening thud on the edge. I picked it up and noted absolutely no damage to the phone or the case! Winning!

Decent case.
This case was sold out days after the iPhone 13 ProMax release. I got the phone on day two. I used a soft case until this arrived. It's a solid case. The lip wraps around the edge well. I had a Spiegen case on my last phone that had a tougher edge than this. It saved me countless times. This one is close to that but I have pushed the edge on a surface. It will give with enough force if it impacts the screen edge along the case edge, with a hard surface. It is weakest at the volume buttons area for this issue. It's more bulky than a slim fit case. Less bulky than the Spiegen armor case. The side rubber shape and grip are as advertised. Wonderful friction and grip. The back is made of a material that seems to be able to hold onto a pop socket, unlike some of the half rubbery/silicon material on some cases. I had to sand a circle on the Spiegen case and Super-Glue a pop socket on that case. The Casegoo frosty slim case is a semi silicon material like that too. Not made for adhesion of a pop socket, if you prefer one. If I didn't drop my phone so much, and didn't prefer a pop socket, the Casegoo is a slimmer and lighter case. This is heavier. The back of this seems to be made of a hard material that should maintain the adhesive bond when I do try one out soon. It's tough. I tried that one out for a day. It's slim but not as tough as this one if you do drop it on an edge. I do drop my phone often. I'm glad I used the Spiegen screen protector that comes with a foolproof method of installing one perfectly aligned. The edges on this case meet the screen protector with little room to spare. You could probably install this case and use it as a guide for any screen protector. I'm talking about a few thousands of an inch clearance with the lip of the case all around. There's little margin for error for a poorly aligned screen protector should you install one first. It's a snug fit. All around, a great case. If you prefer some side grip and dont mind the extra bulk and width, but want a little more protection than a slim fit case, this one works well. If you want an all around armor case, this one will give on the edge during a very hard phone edge impact. The Spiegen I had last didn't give at all (the one with the circle cut out to show the Apple logo on the back), but it was more bulky and heavuer than this one. I give this 4.5 stars in its category of case styles. It's very unique and just as described.

The best case I’ve found yet!
Let’s be real here. I’ve owned countless number of phone cases over the years since smart phone came out. I still don’t know why they even make phones in different colors. Who ever sees it? Anyway, I loved the look of this case and what originally brought me to it was the fact I got tired of loosing grip on my almost a tablet size iPhone. The grip they advertise on the sides of the case is fantastic. It’s feels textured, heavy duty solid, and does in fact help with the grip. There are even slight finger indents built in where you hold it. The back design, I did the universe, is truly awesome in that after a year of use, I can’t find a single scratch, blemish, wear mark, nothing! It still looks and feels brand new. Unbelievable! I once dropped my iPhone 13 plus max on the garage floor from my shirt pocket. I panicked, swore a lot, and could not even find where the impact point was. This case is made solid and feels rugged yet thin. Trust me I’ve tried them all, and this one hits the sweet spot.

Great case but…
Really good case. I purchased this for my iphone 13 Pro Max around Christmas. It does everything that a case is supposed tp do which is protect my phon. I love the the finger grooves on the side for extra grip. You could say that this case is considered “rugged” but it a has a nice sleek look to it in m opinion. Depending on your budget this case can be a bit on the pricey side. But you know how the sayin g goes “You get what you pay for” I have dropped my phone a couple times. On both occasions I dropped the case from waist length on concrete and asphalt. I am happy to say that my phone survived the accident without a scratch on it. I dropped it flat on it’s face and once on it’s side. I do have a screen protector so I’m sure that it helped as well. I also have Moft MagSafe wallet one the back of it works perfectly for anyone who was wondering how well the magnets work with this case. The only issue that the back of the case scratches pretty easily due daily wear and tear. I work in an office setting if that means anything. Totally worth the money.

Finally—Grip Without the Gimmicks!
Ever since the iPhone 12, Apple’s gone back to that squared-off design with glass on both sides. It looks sleek, sure—but feels like holding an expensive, fragile bar of soap. I’ve always hated relying on rings or pop sockets just to keep my phone secure. Enter the Gripzilla case. This thing is a game-changer. It adds just the right amount of grip and texture without bulking up the phone or requiring any awkward attachments. It’s comfortable, secure, and exactly what I needed. If you want a minimalist solution that actually works, this is it.

Depends how you define "grippy"
Update: I'm five months short of the three-year mark of using this case, and it's still 100% functional and protective. There seem to be few products of any kind that you can say *that* about after almost three years. I definitely recommend this case. =-=-= Original review: This case is serving me well. I came from an OtterBox Defender case that I had on my iPhone XS Max, which set a pretty high bar for grippiness. This case is not grippy in the soft, rubbery way that the Defender was, but it is textured and shaped in such a way as to make it about as grippy as it could be while still being made out of the material it's made out of. And speaking of the material it's made out of, I fully expect that, because it's harder than the Defender case, it's going to hold up better than the Defender did. OtterBox struck a certain balance between durability and the soft kind of grippiness I was looking for when I bought this case, and the Defender did an outstanding job for a long time, but one day it just suddenly started giving up the ghost – I'd handle my phone and come away with black stuff all over my hands because the case was disintegrating. I'm thinking that what this case foregoes in soft rubberiness it will make up for in durability. The increased hardness probably also translates into greater shock to the phone if it's dropped, but iPhones can handle a lot (and I almost never drop my phone) so I'm not overly worried about that. All in all I think this is probably a solid choice for an iPhone case and I expect it will hold up and protect my phone very well. *Update, 14 months in* - I've grown very much accustomed to this case and its hardness, and it has protected my phone (I think I've dropped my phone once in these past 14 months). It looks nice in a simple kind of way, and is comfortable in the hand, with its little indentations for your fingers. Every indication I've gotten so far is that this case will last for at least as long as I have my phone, however long that may be: as yet it shows no sign of any kind of degradation, whether dent or ding or just sort of disintegrating like the OtterBox cases eventually did. I'm thinking that, even with its hard feel in the hand, this is the perfect phone case.

Bought it twice!
I am someone who likes to buy something and try to make it last as long as possible. (I.e. my iPhone 13) When I initially found this product, I was looking for something simple in design, pretty durable, and wouldn’t break the bank. Typically my line of work is pretty rough and mostly outdoors, so I was also looking for something that would hold up to that type of wear and tear but could also last a long time. I write this review as someone who has purchased two of these same cases, now two years apart. I am supremely happy with how well the case has held up over the course of two years, and frankly I only bought the second one because obviously each year presents a new iPhone model and there were only a few left in stock. I wanted to make sure I had a replacement ready when it was time to replace my case. This case was very easy to install, has very good drop protection, has very good grip against most surfaces, and has virtually seamless protection paired with a good screen protector. I’m also always very keen to help support a local Texas business as a native Texan myself, so that is definitely a huge plus for me. 10/10 would recommend the case, and any other product this company makes
