REEFFanning Men's Bottle Opener Flip Flop, Arch Support, Durable Outsole, Water Friendly

Stepped out of a pair of basic croc flip flops and into these flip flops. Not nearly as comfortable as the crocs. They do fit exactly the same as my crocs. However, these flip flops are much less slippery on wet floors. You feel planted in them. I rated them low on comfort and high on other things like durability. If this changes, I'll update the review. I reluctantly gave these flip flops a 4 star review but they truly are not very comfortable.Update: I bought a new pair of croc flip flops and they are not as comfortable as older crocs. No idea what happened to crocs. The new crocs fit better than the Reef's but I think the Reefs will feel better when the strap stretches a bit. Didn't change the rating. 4 stars

These sandals are like shoes, but without all the unnecessary material….just the SUPER comfortable sole. Word of warning though: they do not have tracking capabilities, so don’t leave them on the top of your car and drive off…..

I’ve been buying these for the last 15 years. Kind of speedy but a pair will last me 5 years wearing them everyday. When they get thin they become my bbq shoes! Comfortable, no break in required. Haven’t found another flip flop that can compete

I have tried others. None last as long or fit better. Many I try my heel does not land in the center of the foot bed. These do. Love them always have! And I can open a bottle of beer in a pinch!

My son had a previous pair that literally had nothing left to them and he has had them for years. He wanted a new pair for his birthday and loves them!

This is a great sandal. The fit is a tad snug but my old ones may just be a bit worn in by comparison. Still fits and looks great, dries quickly and is comfortable all day.

I have 3 pairs of Reefs the first pair was a different style. Then bought this style for a second time as the original pair were starting to show there age and getting a little slick on the bottom but still wearing them. They have great support and durability. I do not use the bottle opener and usually forget that it is even there. I highly recommend this style and Brand.

Lost my old pair when drinking on the beach (hey, I was on vacation). Purchased a new pair as soon as I got home. Much better support then other flip flops, and dry out quickly when wet. My last pair was going on 3 years, and just starting to separate on the bottom, guess it's a good thing I lost them. The bottle opener is good in a pinch, and if nothing else, aa awesome thing to show off. I don't wear flip flops often, but these are my first choice over my Teva's and my sanuk beer cosies. Those are comfortable, but take forever to dry when they get wet.

I've never really found flip flops comfortable but then someone recommended I try Reef Phantoms and I was amazed. I've clocked up maybe more than a hundred miles walking and exploring on holiday wearing the Phantoms and never had any trouble. Then I found out Reef produce a premium flip flop, at a considerable increase in price, but what the heck, they must be even better, right?If you like having your feet cut to pieces, then buy the Fanning Sandals; 3 razor-type cuts on one foot and 4 on the other. And that was only after a 2 mile walk. The straps have a rough, sharp edge on the inside and as you walk they get to work cutting through layers of skin. Both feet were covered in cuts and one toe had a layer of skin scrapped off. Oh, and that built-in bottle opener in the sole; it is brilliant at scooping up muck and worse as you walk - would you want to open a bottle with that?Normally I would have sent these straight back but unfortunately there was a year between me buying these, the old Phantoms wearing out completely and me taking the replacements on holiday.How can a company get the cheaper pair of flip flops so right and yet completely mess up their premium product?Avoid.

These have the potential to be the best thong flip flops on the market. They are incredibly comfortable other than there is a piece of metal right in the middle for a bottle opener. Why?!?! Why would anyone want a bottle opener on a nice pair of flip flops?! You can feel the metal pushing into your foot which takes away the effort that has gone into these to make them comfortable.Such a shame. If the bottle opener is removed, I would certainly buy them but due to the bottle opener, I had to return them.

I am undecided on them. They are very expensive compared to a standard pair of flip flops, yet when I put them on, there was no “Wow” factor. I was expecting them to be super comfortable, especially with the air bubble in the back. Do I need to give them some time to “Bed in” and for me to fall in love with them to then justify the price tag? 🤷‍♂️

I cant even remember how i first discovered Reef Fanning flip flops, but after testing my memory i figured that i bought my first pair 15-17 years ago! My early pairs did not have the bottle opener on the bottom, and if i had the choice, i would definitely prefer a pair without this ridiculous gimmick. As other reviewers have mentioned, if you are unfortunate enough to stand in dog poo, good luck trying to remove it from around the bottle opener!That however, is my only negative. Reef have always fitted me and felt fantastic to wear, regardless of how far I’m walking. The air cushion under the heel is fantastic, and having just replaced the last pair which i have owned for at least five years, i immediately felt the difference as soon as i put the new pair on. I take size 9 in all shoes, but have always gone for a UK size 8 in these flip flops. My toes and heels are at the edge, but that is personal preference and always felt most comfortable.The build quality is very high, as you would hope and expect for the price. I have never had any issues with any rubbing between my toes - they do ‘give’ a little once you’ve worn them a while - i wear mine all year around the house and barely take them off during any warm weather. I have no hesitation in recommending these as an excellent pair of flip flops which will last years and years and will probably only need replacing when, like me, you realise that the cushioning is probably not as good as it used to be!

I wanted to like these sandals, as they look good and are from a reputable brand, but unfortunately I couldn't get on with them.The sandal itself seems very well made and is generally very comfortable, but I found the toe divider so hard and uncomfortable that I couldn't wear the sandal for more than a couple of minutes.Given all the positive reviews though, it may just be that my feet are a bit strange!
