Excellent case
Of all the cases available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 this is the most perfect solution yet and I've tried seven this is not a case you'll be taking on and off as it does require and come with glue strips to hold it in place however I only used the one thin glue strip to the left of the home screen and none of the others with that the case stays in place perfectly and doesn't move at all this case is very sturdy there was no need for using all the glue strips no you don't get hinge protection it does not show fingerprints and it is a whole lot easier to open with this case on the s pen is accessible and I don't find it difficult to remove the pen this case is functional protective and does a really great job if there is anything not to like about this case it's that it changes the aesthetic look of the phone this is a beautiful $2,000 phone the case is a bit too rugged looking I would love someone to come out with something as protective and functional but a bit richer and classy looking but this is just a thought or opinion the case does its job and it does it really well better than anything else available I voice typed this review so please excuse the poor punctuation so in summary I don't give this much in the looks department but in every other way it's a fantastic case I'd pay a couple hundred dollars for a hand stitched genuine cowhide leather case with all this functionality somebody please make one and oh yeah don't forget the pen holder!

Best Z Fold 3 case with pen storage IMO.
I've been thru 3 other cases that housed the pen and although they did the trick, they weren't very sturdy (the corners cracked with the smallest stop or bump), and the pen placement was either on the back or on the hinge which made the phone super bulky or awkward when laying flat on a surface. This case by Spigen has the feel and durability of a premium case, keeps the phone slim in your pocket, and has the ingenious pen storage next to the front screen. The pen storage compartment is snug and secure, and provides the ability to remove/replace the pen easily. When closed, it's a little awkward getting to the power button/fingerprint reader at first because the pen kind of hides it, but after about a week I got used to it and haven't had any problems since. Also when closed the width of the phone is similar to the width of my old Galaxy S9 Plus. I would highly recommend this case for Z Fold 3 users that like to use the pen a lot.

Versatile case, need to have realistic expectations for design
The reasons I bought this case were to be able to store the Fold SPen while maintaining the ability to use wireless charging with the phone. Both of those functions are absolutely EXCELLENT- I face zero hang ups with the wireless charging, and the pen is nice and secure and never falls out. Only problem with the placement of the pen is that it impedes the fingerprint scanner on the side of the device, but just like many of the other faults of Z Fold 3 cases, case manufacturers are just playing the hand they are dealt. The problems I have with the case are more related to the nature of putting a case on a folding device. Since there is a hinge on the device, you lose a fourth side to secure the case to the device. The issue I encounter with this the most is universal to all cases lacking hinge protection: A drop of the device that catches the 'unsecured' side of the case seems to very easily split the front half of the case. And since the case is already lacking a significant point of structure, that split is catastrophic to the function of the device. I guess my only suggestion to Spigen and other case manufacturers would be to increase the strength of the materials used for the case to maybe help mitigate that point of fracture. That brings me to my next point on Spigen: Their customer service is incredible! I reported to them that I owned the case for about a month before dropping and subsequently splitting the case- They immediately shipped me a replacement that I received in under a week. TLDR; cases for the Z Fold 3 aren't the best, to no fault of their own. This case does what it says, and well. Spigen provides excellent customer support.

Great design to hold an S pen
I love that the case lays flat when opened because the S pen slot is on the side. Not inconvenient at all. I haven't found another case that does that. Leather cases are not rugged enough for me to even consider looking at. I almost gave four stars because of the frame on the front. The left side of the frame does not stay in place very well even with extra tape. But what can you expect because the case doesn't cover the spine because it is designed to lay flat. Oh, I also almost gave 4 stars because the case only comes in black. What's up with that! And, the case is a little rough around the edges. But not sharp enough to be a problem. (Don't be a Wendy whiner.) I also don't have a problem with fingerprints. Some people have oilier hands and also dirty hands would create more smudging. I think the cover has a nice feel like a peach. Lol.... Overall this case is the best out there right now as far as what features the case has. One more thing that I didn't know before I bought the case. (My fault and still not a game changer.) But I found out that the S pen pro supposedly will not fit in the holder. I don't know that much about S pens. I'm still learning. I don't really know much about tip sizes either. Why wouldn't they have different sizes for both? There are already molds for both sizes. Go figure. Now my brain is really working overtime. Okay. Sorry my review is so long. I wanted to tell it like it is from my point of view and views from other people. Hope you enjoy your case. I'm enjoying mine. I'm still sticking to a 5 star review! Yay Spigen!

Updated 3/29/2022 Awesome, just wish it didn't take so long to get it.
So, I am a total Galaxy Note loyalest but I had the Galaxy Note 10 plus, old technology, and the next model newer just didn't seem to justify the cost. Plus, I've wanted a fold ever since the first model. Fortunately I waited. But alas, this review is about the case, not the phone. I knew I wouldn't be happy without some way the ensure I had my s pen handy at any given time since it was always on-board with the Note. I use the s pen all the time. In fact, I write better with the s pen on the fold than typing on any phone. So when the Samsung case was available, and was the only case to hold the pen and it came with the pen, I jumped on it. I wish I had waited for some reviews on it because I hated it. So, I bought the Spigen Case with the hinge protector. As suspected, I wasn't happy without my pen being right there. Because I had the Samsung Case with the removable pen holder, I took that and had my husband glue it to the Spigen case. This Case wasn't available yet. I essentially, had this case. But with a hinge protection. The downside, the Samsung hold glued onto the case did make access to the fingerprint reader and volume control difficult with the case closed. Plus, the hinge protector cause the phone to be incapable of laying flat on any surface. I was only marginally happy now that I had my pen handy. But don't then I saw this case...Taaa Daaa. I ordered it immediately and waited 6 weeks to get it. I personally see zero downside to this case. The phone lays flat when open and the case is way less bulkier. I always have my pen whenever I want/need it, u less of course I fall asleep holding the pen, drop it and the dog runs off with it. But no case will fix that problem. As for durability, the case has been awesome. I drop my phone almost daily. Sometimes, multiple times a day. Don't ask, again the sleeping thing gets me every time. The dog has never run off with the phone. The case also never comes off. Unlike the hinge protector case, which came off all the time. The hinge also got in the way of pop sockets and the like. I highly recommend this case for old Note die hards like me. FYI, I just ordered my replacement pen for that disappeared. Update: 03/29/2022 I really love the design of this case. But I've had two now and the flanges that hold the s-pen broke. When they broke on the first one, I thought it was a fluke, which is why I bought a second one. But I haven't had the second one all that long and the flanges broke in the same way. This is the reason I've downgraded my review from 5 stars to 3. I guess I'm back to the drawing board shopping for another case.

Best case I've had for my z-fold so far!
I got the Galaxy Z fold 3 as soon as it came out, and the cases in the beginning were terrible. I always had the Galaxy Note phones before so I really wanted to use the stylus pen. It's super annoying to just carry it around, and the other cases had the flap that folded on the front. I hated those! I was so glad and I saw this one, it doesn't have that awful front flap and is pretty slim. I have always trusted vegan cases as well! I will say, I use my pen a lot so I take it in and out of the case often, I did end up breaking the front piece after a couple months. But this was several months of a lot of use, I wasn't that upset about it! I ended up just ordering another one after about 6 months, and I will never use a different case!

Best Fold3 Case
I've used many cases for my ZFold3 as many of you may have. This is the best case I've had so far. Great pen holder location, size, protection, weight, etc. The edges are a bit sharp when new but will soften with use and it did not bother me. The case appears to be very durable, but one of the pen holder grips is pulling apart- pen still stays in place. All in all, I would buy this case again as I can understand why this case may be more expensive than others- It is the best case ever and I really enjoy using it.

Decent case, that only lasted 7 months before breaking.
Pros: Rock solid protection. Holds the pen Affixes to phone nicely Can lay the phone flat while opened Cons: Adds a lot more bulk than implied. Very sharp edges that are a bit uncomfortable at times Pen holder overhangs a bit Front screen frame broke after 7 months After having used and had the official Samsung silicon cover break after 12 months, I figured it was worth getting a case that could hold the pen. This Spigen case was what appeared the best option of all available pen cases that would provide protection and allow the phone to lay flat while opened. After receiving the case I was surprised at how much bulk it added. It's not the most cumbersome case ever, but it does add bulk. Also I was surprised at how sharp some of the edges were. Nothing that would cut you or anything, but sometimes would jab at you. For 7 months I was happy, in general, with the purchase, until the framing on the front screen broke. Same issues with the Samsung case, so it's clearly an issue with how thin they need to make the framing, especially on the left side where they can't really reinforce the case. Also there had been some cracking on the pen holder, but it probably had another good year before that would have been any concern. Overall it's a decent case with real tradeoffs. It's durability, ultimately, is the real problem. I have now moved to the much maligned Samsung Flip case which can be had for relatively low prices these days. I wish this one had been the solution, but ultimately it appears to be an at best 1 year option.
