Office Cubicle Self-Defense
This is a fun little pocket blaster that I keep on my desk at work for any Nerf wars that break out. Single shot pump action means slow firing but very accurate to distances of 30ish feet. Great for concealed carry!

Its the JOLT!
Remaining fairly consistent in price the Jolt has been, and will always be a staple of the Nerf Hobbyist and even some professionals. It is the best standalone Backup Pistol ever made, and I'm including real firearms in that race. In all seriousness the jolt is the entry point of nerf, buy one for each member of the family on (Christmas/Hanukah/Yule/Etc.) and have a family wide game of Dart Tag. Or buy one for your loadout as your backup pistol, heck, you can even mod it to shoot harder by just putting some rubber bands on it! GO NUTS!

Pros and Cons
Please ignore my horrendous nails hahaha! I bought 2 of these to hold us over until my daughter (5) receives her Nerf mini Stormtrooper blaster and just to add to our N-Strike arsenal. Honestly, at less than $5 a gun, I wasn't expecting much but you can definitely tell this is an N-Strike gun. I tested it as soon as it came out of the package and it shot out the dart so hard it ricocheted off of everything we shot at. PROS: Same level of performance of full sized N-Strike guns as far as velocity, power and accuracy go. Seems to have a decently sturdy body too. Obviously the price is crazy good. CONS: while the gun itself pretty sturdy, the trigger has a weird feel when you pull it. It isn't a smooth click like with the big guns and feels mushy if that makes sense. The only other complaint is that the priming mechanism actually seems like you have to use a bit more force to pull it down. Overall, I like this little gun and it's mostly comfortable in my petite lady hands. Anyone with bigger hands would definitely have issues. Also, it is a bit large for my 5 year old but it is made for older kids so keep that in mind.

Used for "shooing" cats away from stuff
I bought this to shoot darts at my fiance's cats when they jump up on the dining table. Unfortunately, it isn't strong enough to even get their attention. When I do shoot the cats, the darts just bounce off of them, and they barely even notice what happened. For little kids, this is a pretty good little Nerf gun. The darts fly stright-ish but drop lower the further your target is. For shooing away cats, not so great. You'll need something stronger for that.

Kids New Favorite Toy Out of All The Nerf Guns He Have
Small enough to carry around easy to use. It is not as powerful as the bigger Nerf they have but this is actually better if you have younger kids. They will feel the bullet but won't hurt them. My 2 boys is into Nerf. They each have at least 5 different Nerf guns each from elite series to battery powered etc. They like to setup bowling pins at the stairs for target practice. This one they just carry around like a concealed carry. Unlike the bigger Nerf guns, this does not hurt and is a lot easier to use so the bigger Nerf are now just sitting in their room waiting for friends and cousins to come so they can play together.

Best Nerf Model
The Jolt is a family favorite and my Nerf weapon of choice. It's got a TON of power for a hand-held gun. Certainly hideable if you're having a nerf war or sneaking around. Even though it's single-shot, it makes up for it in reload speed, power, and target accuracy. You've got to aim a bit higher (but such is physics), and you may want a steady hand, but honestly, I'd buy 3 of these before I bought a bigger gun. It's also a great size for kids or small hands; easy to handle, a good fit for smaller hands. If you have meaty hands, you might struggle.

The Nerf version of a timeless Walther PPK?
I got a pair of these as a gag gift. My young son was getting a semi-automatic Nerf blaster for like $40 that holds 20 or so darts in a single magazine. I knew he would want to have a nemesis to square off against, and that it would invariably be me. So i figured it would be good comedic value to pick up the smallest, single-shot blaster i could find. For the price - only a few bucks, these did NOT disappoint. Yes, they only have a single shot, but it's powerful for the size and price. I wouldn't recommend waging a competitive battle with this as your only weapon, but as a back-up "pistol" or for duels or something else, you can't beat the price, and for that, the quality, accuracy and distance all met or exceeded my expectations.

Still averages 52 FPS; It is a single-piece front barrel Jolt, nothing special.
This Jolt is a re-shell of the N-strike single fire front-loader of the same name, and a re-re-shell is probably inevitable seen as it's simple design keeps reappearing in other Nerf marketing lines (N-strike, Elite, Zombie, Rebelle), and the Snapfire and Pocket Strike, Mega Big-shock and Hot-shock can all be considered distant cousins. Most Jolts, if not all, shoot in the 50-55 FPS (Feet Per Second) velocity range as measured by my ProChrono Digital chronograph. This is due to the limited space for the plunger tube, so expect sub-par elite performance even with some modifications. I have noticed that this particular re-shell is more similar to the original Jolt due to the front barrel being a single piece instead of having the fancy Elite Jolt trimmings attached. I also noticed that the priming handle is black instead of the typical orange coloration.

Bought for my 13 year old son who loves this. Excellent Nerf fun as usual.
